this is a funny meme but the last 4 years pretty much destroys it. Pretty much everything was improving under Trump, EVERYTHING. And now literally EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING has gotten worse under Biden. So yes, while the meme is funny, there needs to be some honesty about our current situation. Biden is HISTORICALLY bad, and the Democrats are a totally demented and destructive entity.

A half hour bathroom break at 200 miles? Way too much
I drive 500 miles once per week for work right now and can easily do that stretch in a combustion car without stopping once, although I structure it to include one quick tank fill at the halfway point and stop at the same place on the trip back. I almost never stop for the bathroom, or I’ll pull off the highway to pee and be back at full speed within 3mins.
There’s no getting around the sheer amount of time added by charging if you do regular long distance driving. I was doing 640 mile drives one way last year, doing that in an EV would turn an 10hr trip into a 13hr trip. That’s if the chargers work, if it’s not winter, and all the other things that can influence charging rates and time.
Without mentioning that 3rd party charging prices have spiked hard
I would get an EV strictly for a city cruiser that charges in the garage overnight but would still keep combustion for highway haulsLast edited by Destor; 10-05-2022 at 10:56 PM.

Tesla’s ranges are grossly overstated, you’ll never actually get close to those numbers. Real-world testing has the Model S Dual Motor rated at 405 miles getting in the low 300s at highway speeds in good temperatures. And you’re paying $105k for that lol
Range drops badly in winter, especially if you want to keep the cabin warm when it’s -20 or colder out
