CP3 is a choker.
Luka is too young.
Jokic is just a stat padder.
Antman is too young and KAT/gobert are chokers.
Pelicans too young.
Grizzlies too young and Ja is just a flashy player, not rly championship star level.
Only team I see that can put up a fight are the Warriors and Clippers.
Curry is sporadic, I'm predicting a down season for him.
Clippers look good but just not feeling them over the lakers.
Lakers have a new coach that Westbrook can respect, this is huge.
Pat Bev is a huge pickup to boost on court energy and locker room energy.
Pat Bev and Westbrook will have a competition of who can be the better defender all season.
Westbook does not want to lose to Pat Bev and will turn himself into a monster defender.
Westbrook gonna shock everyone with monster comeback. Not MVP level, but a dam good player.
I'm predicting Westbrook and Bev hugging it out with tears of joy advancing into the Finals.
Not sure if they can win the championship tho. I'm predicting they get smacked by the Eastern conference winner.

I think they will field a decent team sooner than that. They've done a good job stockpiling assets. In the past they've focuses more on team building through the draft, but with Danny Ainge on board I think they will be very active on the trade market. My prediction is a solid team within 4-5 years. Maybe they will contend, but I have no idea whether they will get over the hump from being good to being contenders. A lot will come down to where the picks they do keep end up and whether they use them well (either selecting players or making trades).
But, lol, at thinking the Lakers will contend this year.SAAVM CREW

Westbrook will come off the bench in this last preseason game.. could be a turning point but we'll see
To me the Lakers need another big and another 3 pt shooter....... That's basically the Indiana deal, idk why they haven't pulled the trigger cause they'd be a top 3 team in the best with Turner and Hield

Nah... AD, Lonnie Walker, and DS weren't playing playing and Russ got hurt after 4 min
They had Max fukn Christie starting this game lol. Max Christie is not an NBA player. That starting lineup was atrocious, I have no idea what Ham was thinking with Jones, Reaves, and Christie out there... It was laughable

Cliffs of game 1:
- Lakers offense sucked in Q1 and Q3, solid Q2 and Q4.
- Shooting still sucks.
- Defense so-so.
- AD looking healthy.
- Westbrook wasn't too bad. Finished a sick alley-oop. I only recall one brick.
- Lebron lost athleticism but can still explode. Had a nice fastbreak dunk over wiggins.
Overall, they lost to the defending champs. We need some more games to gain chemistry. I still have hope.

Defense for the Lakers is elite.. the problem is they are shooting the worst in NBA history, and Russ is getting crunch time min
If they could just shoot 32% (which was the lowest percentage of any team last year) they might be 3-0 srs... If Russ never played in the 4th qt, they would be 2-1 srs
There's a lot to like when it comes to LA so far, and the flaws are so obvious and should be an easy fix. If Darvin Ham plays Russ in the 4th the next few games, then I'm out on his "new sheriff in town" attitude about putting out the best lineup

Part of that sure, but the other big part of it is that the Lakers also don't want people on their books (not named LeBron and AD) past this year. They really have a lot open to them after this year cause alot of guys are on 1 yr deals and Russ is expiring. That means Lakers could get a potential max player next off-season......... It's why Pelinka passed on DeRozan cause they didn't wanna give him that 3rd year
The problem I have with that is the next FA agent class isn't some elite class, and the issue with Bron and AD isn't the lack of a 3rd star, it's the role players. I don't understand why the Lakers are hell bent on signing another star when the model for the current elite teams is elite role players.
