Okay Miscers, I'm currently in a predicament and looking for some feedback. What do you think would be more beneficially to choose while I work towards my degree?
UPS pretty much hiring on the spot, but I recently got offered a job to do inventory control over at a dispensary. Benefits are about the same health, dental, and 401k are supplemented, and pay is about the same.
Just curious to hear some feedback/thoughts between the two, and what would you choose and why.

UPS only if you want to become a driver. They make good money.
But working in the warehouse will phuking suck. Hours suck, pay sucks and you will be lucky if you don't get injured. Also you will constantly be harassed to work faster no matter how fast you go.
I don't know what shift you're applying for but a lot of them are 'short' shifts like 6 hours but they don't give you lunch or any break at all really. I done a few warehouse/factory jobs and they all suck.
Dispensary manager seems chill. Take that - you don't want to be stressed out while in school.

Used to work for UPS. If your college qualifys they pay up.to 25k for tuition srs.

Anyone with college aspirations should never do warehouse work like UPS FFS. You’re going to college so you can make triple what those workers do and boss them around.

Yea, no thanks. Done my share of chitty jobs when I was younger and working in a hot warehouse just moving boxes around would suck worse than cleaning the slicer in the steak sub shop I worked at.Originally Posted by Polaris

UPS Warehouse work is fun if you're an unloader. If they stick you i loading or sorting your life will suck.
Perks:
1. Easy hours
2. Good workout
3. YOu can just not show up for an entire month and not get fired (Union). They will mail you something saying if you don't show up in 3 days you will be terminated. Show up for one day and repeat. This will work well since you're in college and might need time to study.
4. Pay was pretty decent for the easy work.
5. Blue Cross Blue Shield Benefits for part time work. You cannot beat that chit. Had dudes working there that already worked in an office job just for the benefits for his family.
That was my three year experience at UPS. Had a blast. I actually worked too fast and would jam that belt up so I had tons of breaks.[Dallas Cowboys][Dallas Mavericks][Texas Rangers][TCU*NCAA][DFW Crew]
