I been playing destiny 2 again, gettin my grind on.
A couple homies I used to work with saw me playing thru discord and asked if I wanted to raid. Sure, never done one, sounds fun, i doubt I'll ever have 5 other friends online on destiny to try one, so let's go
Fast forward about 4 hours
We complete the vault of glass raid
Holy fuk these things are crazy intricately designed. The destiny 2 raid was probably one of the most complicated things I've ever done in a video game.
We spent about an hour on each section dying and repeating until we got it. I'm not sure it's even possible to complete without looking up a guide.
Anyways that is all. I'm impressed with the design of these raids in destiny.

I think it's worth it if you know what you want from a game.
I wanted a loot and shoot game I could play coop with my gf where our skill level differential wouldn't matter.
If I play alone I just put a TV show or movie on and I don't even turn the sound on for destiny.
But there's alooot of stuff to do in the game now tooSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Another W for Sony. Just pushing out quality content that can give even an elite competitive gamer a completely thrilling experience.

Just realized I've been playing Destiny 2 for almost a year and still haven't done a D2 raid, only Vault of Glass and the dungeon (a mini 3 person raid) Grasp of Avarice.
Vault of Glass was the 1st raid from Destiny 1, mildly updated for Destiny 2. It'll go pretty quick with experience. Worth it to try to get Vex Mythoclast or Fatebringer.
King's Fall is another Destiny 1 raid, more complicated and the loot I only ever found useful in the raid itself, I don't have a desire to go back and do this one.MFC

I had a lot of fun with raiding in OG everquest. You needed 50 or 60 people all paying attention and doing their jobs. You had to have pullers who could split mobs efficiently, mostly bards and monks. A rotation of tanks that could keep aggro. A chain of healers timing their heals perfectly. Then you split up melee and ranged dps, also physical and magic. Some fights took hours. Lots of AoE dodging, switching targets for complicated bosses. Resurrecting and rebuffing players constantly. One rogue or mage pulling aggro off the tank could easily cause a complete raid wipe.

Had a great time running raids in Destiny 1 but you had to have a good team to have fun. Vault of Glass was one of the better ones. But those were a massive time sink for sure. No way I could play the game properly today.
When D2 just came out though, I would have jumped on it if they didn't erase everything from the first game. That was complete and utter bullchit and there was so much content slowly built up for D1 by the time D2 came out that the sequel felt barren in comparison and I didn't have the patience to wait for all the updates for it to catch up to D1. They should allowed chit to carry over or better yet made it an expansion.
