As a kid, I worked at my dad's gas station every day during the summer. The Snap-On Tools rep would come once a month or so to replenish tools that broken or any new purchases. Those who claim to be oppressed by it are doing everything they can to keep it alive and defend it, but as long as they can be the only way to use it. "Take ownership of the world".
