I have a friend in Sochi and they made her believe it is a war against NATO/USA and that there are Nazi's hidden in some regions, go figure.
She also said conscription covers ages 18-60, so her sons and ex husband are all eligible.
That is very stressful if you could potentially lose all of your immediate family.

I don't pretend to have answers but seems to me Putin's thugdom and aggression may not end until things start unraveling from the inside of Russia for anything to change.
I'd hate to see any civil war there because it's the average people, worker bees that suffer.

MOSCOW - A gunman killed 13 people, including seven children, and wounded 21 other people in a school in central Russia on Monday, authorities said.
Russia's Investigative Committee said the shooting took place in a school in Izhevsk, a city about 960 kilometres (600 miles) east of Moscow in the Udmurtia region. Those wounded were 14 children and 7 adults, the Committee said.

The governor of Udmurtia, Alexander Brechalov, said in a video statement that the still unidentified gunman shot himself.

The school educates children between grades 1 and 11. It has been evacuated and the area around it has been cordoned off, the governor said.

According to the Investigative Committee, the gunman wore a black T-shirt with "Nazi symbols." No other details about the shooter or his motives have been released.

Izhevsk, a city of 640,000, is located west of the Ural mountains in central Russia.



I have no doubt that Putin will spin this to blame Ukraine to boost his war efforts, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he actually had a hand in it.

The Russia/Ukraine war is not on my mind 24/7. We might agree on some things, but not at all on this subject.

I also never said that Ukraine wasn't corrupt. But, that does not indicate that Ukraine started the war. How could Ukraine possibly believe it could win a war with Russia and without an organized military?

I am not pro-Russia like some here. Putin's objective was to overthrow the Ukraine government and kill or depose Zelienski and annex Ukraine or parts of it.
