That was the point of casting him. "Nobody", he's supposed to be Joe Average not some merciless assassin, so when the truth comes out it makes it more interesting, the dichotomy of what you expect and what is real is basically the hook for the entire movie. And, the movie is surprisingly enjoyable for what it is.

I used to punish my son by making him watch "Good Burger". The first time he laughed, he enjoyed it, thought he'd gotten one over on his old man. Then the second time, you could tell he was thinking about whatever it was he'd done. By the third time, he resisted but a punishment is a punishment in my house. Anyway, nowadays he's a extremely well-behaved child. Really just the threat of that movie is enough to shock him into almost a coma-like trance.

Not so sure GotFF would do much more than scar them for life, assuming they got to the end, but you do you.

Most anime is incredibly cringe but there is good stuff too. I like a lot of nerd chit though. Fantasy novels, RPGs and stuff like that. Animation is better for high fantasy stories because live action has to use so much CGI. I'd never seen any anime before lockdowns in 2020. I've always been a fan of the Dark Souls games and kept hearing about how everything in them was a reference to Berserk so I decided to watch it. Chit is legit.

well i work full time and i'm in school part time so time investment into a series needs to have some return or i can't justify watching it. I've consistently noticed that anime post 2010 is giving me very little return on my investment (DB Super, Tokyo Ghoul and Parayste being good examples). So I'm focusing only on retro anime which has alot more substance to it in large part from what i think is because it was made before anime went mainstream and got tailored to everyone.

Gave up not long after the bus fight-the dumbest & most nonsensical thing I have seen. BRB dudes just crashed their car acting like lunatics, so I will let them on the bus to rape me & my female passenger & beat up/scare the guys off. Despite apparently it turns out later I hear them being mafia guys not one of them carries a gun. Despite being outnumbered four to one & having a gun the hero empties it & throws it away-meaning a gangster later loads it & nearly kills him. Then he saves the guys life, despite them all having tried to kill him & him having tried to kill them.
