I tell it like it is, if you want smoke blown up your ass or something sugar coated. I suggest you get a Hooker and a powdered donut.

72 Toyota Corona. Can't see the graphic but I assume we're talking first cars. Bought mine with $325 of my hard earned cash and loved that baby. Took it everywhere until I rolled it 3 years later

As a passenger ... 1974 Pantera in 1974 .... near crapped my pants as for sure we were well over 140 mph in that rocket
As a driver/owner .... 1966 Mustang 2+2 fastback with a 1971 Boss 351 transplanted in 1981 ... highway gears and my buddy was OPP and clocked me at 147 mph
last weekend in my 1969 Swinger 340 with 3.23 gears topped 110 mph then backed down. It still pulled hard @ 110 mphI don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

1969 Old 98 with the 455, bought it from my moms uncle for $200 and it was spotless. Was a 10 year old car at the time and he had babied it. Mine was an ugly shade of green.

In my mid/late 20s, I might have gone up to 90 or maybe even 95, but that definitely would have been by mistake. With a speed limit of 70, sometimes I would go between 75 and 80, but with a couple of instances of true bad luck on the road when I was younger (accidents not my fault, and that really shook me up), I rarely break the speed limit now. This would have been in my 2000 Honda Civic. I generally try to avoid the Interstate because I just don't want to drive that fast - it freaks me out. Middle-aged and pathetic, I know.
I was driving home from Orlando a few nights ago on a Highway and I was going substantially under the speed limit - like maybe 52 or 53 in a 60 zone, and this one big car comes up behind me and practically tailgates me for miles although they had plenty of opportunity to pass me. I didn't freaking budge. I probably pis*ed them off. I hope I pis*ed them off.

interesting to see all the different vehicles people are mentioning, if we asked this question 40 years from now most of the answers would probably be Honda Civics.

When I was about 14 or 15 me and my buddy used to take turns joyriding in our parents' cars after they went to sleep. His folks had a '74 Gran Torino, and my folks had a '72 LTD. So it was one of those two cars. As far as owned cars go, my first was a '64 Nova with the six cylinder.... I don't think that car was capable of 100mph. But my second car was a big block '64 Dodge Polara, and it would hit 100 within seconds. My third car was a '66 Mercury Park Lane wagon with a 390. That car I drove 26 miles on the freeway with the speedo pegged at 120.

- Hit about 92 mph in a '72 slant six Dodge Dart before I got scared.
- 220 km/h (about 136 mph) in a brand new late 90's Audi A8. Was delivering it from one dealership to another, right before the customer took possession. Stunk like burning plastic after. Sorry, guy.
- Clocked at 116 mph in a '94 Firebird. Got a speeding ticket in the States.
- 140 mph in a mid 2000's Chrysler. Any guesses on what model?
