Yes. It's a heavy mofo. I sold mine. I prefer my OG Rein even, it's lighter and you can locate pressure pad separate from light plus the light also has a switch on the tailcap as a failsafe to the wired pad. I have the OG reign on a rifle and don't see a reason to take it off. I also have the owl I sold, a surefire scout 600 (overrated), and a modlite.
Of all I'd recommend a Rein. Any Rein.

Outdoors, I think candela kind of has to win. Punching through "photonic barriers" aka it's lighter in between where you are and where you are illuminating or whatever, or lighting up the shadow/dark area with an environment where some is lit and some isn't (urban/suburban, some light sources, shadows, etc). Indoors if you are using baseboard or ceiling bounce to light up the room, it matters not. But indoors if you want to see the entire other room and the whole wall to wall direct, you'd want wider beam.
But I speak only from theory

Not if the resources needed to produce them take from other more profitable products. Which, ultimately, is why I believe they're not regularly stocking it. The Rein just does everything better and likely has better margins. Even with the price difference, I doubt they ever sold more OWLs than Reins since the Reins are better across the board.
You won't be upset with a Rein. It's worth the extra cost. If you really must wait for a sale, Black Friday is about four months away. If they don't do a sale before then, I'm sure they'll have a good BF deal.Misc Firearms Crew

Holy chit at the judge in Oregon ruling that only guns in common use for self defense- not hunting or target shooting- are protected by the 2A
Wonder how fast the fudds will move if their M1A is suddenly in jeopardy.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

100% get a Rein. They just did a sale over the weekend (may still be going on, actually) for the first XXX orders of a Rein 3 you also get one of their handheld lights for free, pretty cool.
I am a big fan of CD's switches. I see some people trash them but those same people are also running other lights, so I'm not sure how much experience they actually have with the CD switch. I haven't looked into it enough because I don't care, but I'd be curious what people complain about with the switches. I used to only run SF for my lights but now I'm fully on board with CD. Their EPL (pistol light) will break the internet when it's finally released.Misc Firearms Crew

I’ve never assembled a AR. Which was why years ago I bought a PSA kit as I had a lower already. It’s basically one of these AR build for dummies.
https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...istol-kit.html
What tools do I need to assemble it? I did some googling but most were complete builds. The upper is already assembled.
I’ll do more research but any help is appreciated.

That’s not the actual kit. I just searched PSA AR Kit and that was the first one that popped up. I’m guessing they are all basically the same builds. It’s 16” barrel. I have had it for years laying around.
That brings up a question. What makes that kit a SBR?
Any specific tools? I have most common garage tools.

What makes that kit an SBR is a barrel under 16" long and a pistol brace which the AFT has decided to change a law regarding and declare pistol braces are now legally stocks so it's not a braced pistol any more, it's an SBR. Gotta be kind of living under a rock to not have an idea on those shenanigans at this point lol
Not that SBR's should be regulated more than a regular title 1 firearm to begin with (not that regular title 1 firearms should be as regulated as they are, either), but, we've all known the braced pistol thing was really just an end-around the SBR law anyway.
Again, not that the SBR restrictions should exist, because they shouldn't. But, they do.
