Hey, I have 3 pair of their "Tactical" pants which are probably the exact same thing but in canvas. Christmas present from 3 or 4 years ago and honestly, I love them. They are EXTREMELY tacti-nerd, but I offset it with the Under Armor slides I wear year round.
Could you define ______ for me, please?

Regular carbine gas tube vs BRT EZtune. Smallest port they offer.

It's worked really well for my mk18. Supposedly good for 10k rounds.

I'm not super concerned about the guns being a little over gassed, but this BCM was a bit much. Some cases were flying out straight down at the ground. Most were at a solid 1 o'clock.

Not exactly firearm related, but kind of a cool story. Went to my father in law's 100th birthday party. Super nice guy, and completely with it. Even drove himself to his party.

He was in the navy during ww2 and served on Liberty Ships. They were transports with a small crew that was 40-60 merchant marines and 20-40 navy guys to man the guns. (Why he doesn't hear well...)

Anyway, for his 100th birthday, he got a really nice thank you for his service from congress which someone presented to him, and after that, a good friend of ours who's a Naval Captain presented him with a challenge coin. He seemed to be really touched by both presentations. Was really nice so figured I'd share the story.

Even 80 years after he served it still meant a lot to be thanked, which i guess is why I always say thanks to the older guys I see wearing their hats and also to the younger ones that keep us safe today. So to any of you here that serve or served, thank you. Hope you live over 100 years too.

The rein micro is first light w a switch. So I have no comparison. Got it mounted but seems a little hard to press, meaning takes a bit of deliberate straight down pressure. I know lights shouldn’t be easy since you don’t want ND, but just curious if that’s normal and other switches like surefire act like that as well?

In a situation, wondering if it would be easy for light to turn off momentary because your finger slipped off that deliberate pressure.

They're arguably the most durable cans out there. They're not the quietest or lightest, so it depends what your priorities are. I have a full size and a Mini and love them. They can and do carbon lock, so if that's a concern for you take that into consideration. Speaking of, my full was carbon locked and I shot it off yesterday. If you care about possibilities like below, look elsewhere. Personally, idgaf.

However, I didn't know direct action had a pack. I like their plate carriers a lot.
I wasn't familiar with Direct Action before finding this pack. That being said, the pack was a no-go immediately after opening it. I didn't even think about contacting them to find out about this, I just assumed it wouldn't be an issue, but on the sides of the pack there are only three columns of MOLLE. Any sustainment pouch out there requires four columns of MOLLE. What they intended you to mount to the sides of this pack, I have no idea. But it immediately went back in the packaging to be returned.

The Eberlestock Tomahawk was an interesting pack. I really wanted it to work but the built in side sustainment pouches are borderline useless and the brain is positioned weird so that if you cinch it down it exposes the backside of the main compartment of the pack. Little hard to describe, but that one also didn't work.

I'm continuing to mess with the FAC Track and I think that will be the play. We'll see.

I think the way I’m gripping it. That little ridge that borders the button makes me go straight down vs rolling my thumb onto it. Just gotta practice and fuk w my grip I think

Boyos looking for help identifying this rifle. Been researching all day and best I can figure is an Uberti 1860 Henry Limited Edition, but I can't find anything on it. Through all my searching I've found one site with pics of it and it's one of those stockphoto type sites selling picture rights.

    It's chambered in 44-40.

Additionally, bonus points for advice on how to clean and prep the barrel, it has some rust/pitting.

Fuark bros. I’m itching to buy some chit…BF deals where are you?

Also I’m looking at a 5.56 in the 16” range so I don’t have to SBR it…should I go again with DD (I’m familiar with their brand)…or go something like knights armament SR-15? Price really isn’t a concern. I want quality that will last.

She's a beauty. I'm no expert (plus I live in a dry climate fwiw) but if it were me, I'd just do my normal clean/prep routine - couple passes with a nylon brush with solvent, cleaning patches till they look reasonably clean, then finish with a patch with a little oil. I used to worry a lot more about getting a really clean patch, but not so much anymore. All in all, I spend a lot less time cleaning than I used to.
