Shoot a lot more than 2500 rounds for that. I'd also attend a course. Even if you had to fly to the US (not sure what international flying with weapons looks like), it would be worth it for a reputable trainer.
Even more than the quantity of rounds fired is the quality of the shooting you're doing. No real set standard for number of rounds per month to be improving, but it would be interesting to see what amount people are shooting with measurable success. Obviously that has a thousand different variables and different types of drills/training require a vast range of rounds fired, but it's an interesting discussion.Misc Firearms Crew

PSA looks like they have some budget quality stuff in regards to 5.56 pistols
This AR pistol is in my price range , considering buying it sight unseen. It looks like it's made of polymer because it sounds plastic-y
Are all AR's like this?

Youtube removed my daughter's shooting video because it violates their child safety policy. Meanwhile, all of these things are fine for children to do:

You definitely don’t want a 7.5” AR. Terrible ballistic performance from the 5.56 round out of such a short barrel, and the concussive blast is gonna make it very unpleasant to shoot. A 7.5” AR in 5.56 is a meme gun.
If you’re set on getting an AR pistol don’t go any shorter than 10.5”, and even that is pushing it. You’ll be a lot happier with an 11.5” or something.

Good luck! I'm going to end up wait listed like everyone else. Spent some time filming some marketing content a couple weeks ago and got 500 rounds or so on the 7.62x39 variant. I was going to go 5.56 but I think I'm going to snag the 11" 7.62x39. Eats ****ty steel ammo reliably and was still making easy hits on c zone steel at 300yrds.

You all go to the range by yourselves or set up a range day with buddies?
Also^ I was eyeing a smith and wesson MP AR Pistol. Any thoughts on that? found some at a decent price."There are some who do not fear death for they are more afraid of really living."-Ancient proverb

Yeah i was most likely going to do that . I might look into just building one from scratch.
My daughter in laws dad is retired corrections officer that builds AR's and he said for the price of a " budget" AR you an piece a quality one together for about the same price
I used to go alone, sometimes i do but most times i go with my wife and daughter in law
IIRC the Smith & Wesson MP AR is probably the most popular for the cost and i think it's entry level AR

I was asking a lot in here about ARs too when I was planning to get one. I was planning to buy a complete one from Springfield Armory Saints series and the one I'm looking at was about $1500.
I decided to assemble by just buying a complete lower and upper as suggested here. I went for Aero Precision parts except for the charging handle which is BCM and it costs me ~$1100.
Made some mistakes buying a short upper in my 1st build. Didn't return it and built it as an AR pistol and costs me ~$900 to complete. Also all Aero parts.
Ended up spending $500 more than intended but ended up with 2 ARs lol.Steam - jinda28

Haven't had a chance to shoot that much. I finished the 550 rounds I bought (300 5.56 and 250 .223) solely on the AR rifle and not a single issue so far.
I haven't gotten a chance to shoot the pistol though. It's basically the same specs, just different barrel lengths so hopefully it's good too.Steam - jinda28

Suppressor finally arrived. Purchased 4/25/21 received 9/22/22.
I have another pending on 7/1/22 which will probably take about as long to be approved, seeing how the eForm 4 times are steadily getting longer and longer as time goes on.
If you are thinking about getting a suppressor don't procrastinate. These wait times aren't going to improve anytime soon.

Congrats. I have two in the system, one from late April and another from early May. Eform 4 were moving pretty good at first and then really bogged down. I'm still kind of hoping for Christmas, but I'm not that optimistic.
Finished my bedding job last night. Taped up:
Epoxy slathered on:
I used marine tex this time. In the past I've used Devcon 10110. When I checked my Devcon it was REALLY hard. It was already pretty stiff the last time I used it and really hard to work with. I think it's around 6 or 8 years old. I bought some marine tex to try it and I thought it worked really well. Consistency was kind of like honey. Devcon (when new) was more like peanut butter. I used Hornady One Shot for a release agent on the action.
Action in place with everything pretty well cleaned up:
Finished product:
During the prep stage I super glued the recoil lug to the action and opened up the recoil lug recess in the stock. Then I just epoxied the lug in place. The super glue breaks free when you pop out the action. It's not going anywhere now:
There is always a little excitement when you go back the next morning wondering if you got release agent on everything. I don't tighten the action screws but I do screw them in loosely to keep everything lined up. The screws broke free easily and the action popped right out. I have a little clean up for later. I had a little bit too much epoxy in a few spots but that's easy to fix with my rotary tool. I'll clean it up tonight and see how it shoots tomorrow.SAAVM CREW

It's not a poor person's activity that's for sure. Also don't forget that quality firearms, optics and suppressors can last a lifetime, or a very long time anyway.
My dealer was able to find a SiCo Omega 300 for a little over $800 which is pretty good I think.
They are worth it from my research. Stainless baffles, Ti body, full auto SBR rated and really great sound and flash suppression. They even come with a muzzle device.
