That dip**** decided to stay in the area another week longer than he usually did. He knew it was a bad time to stay there, too. That extra week is when the grizzlies start preparing for hibernation, so they get much, much more hostile trying to gorge or as much food as possible in preparation for their long sleep.

The audio starting at 5:52 isn't really him and his woman being eaten, though. It's just a reenactment, according to everything that I've read. Here's another video with what sounds like the same audio.





His woman was retarded. She likely had time to escape with her life, but instead she stayed and screamed at the bear as it killed him, which likely drew the bear's attention and made it attack her, too.

he said 80 yards. Thats not 1 or 2 seconds. If it was coming full blast 35 mph from the second he saw it, it would be 4.67532 seconds. But most likely it was stationary at first, then saw him, had to ramp upto speed. Probably had at least 10 seconds; and 99% likely, at the audible level of a S&W 500, even a miss would make that ****er change trajectory, or give enough pause to fire round #2.


2nd comment on it, he had enough time to get out the bear mace and deliver a 'hit', so I think he would have had enough time to draw a firearm and deliver a hit.

Buckshot isn't nearly as effective at dropping an animal as a slug is. Personally I'd rather have a high capacity rifle but would take a S&W .500 over a shotgun
