newb investor here...... anyone know if dividens are paid on top of regular account growth of, say, 7-10% or whatever per year?

all my money has been tied up in a rental so i threw 60 bucks in to SPAXX and bought 3 shares of that, and i guess it has a dividend.

Not sure I understand the question but dividends decrease a shares price once the dividend date record date passes
