Pictures would help but in every thread like this I've seen it's always some combination of body dysmorphia and generally needing to gain a lot of muscle all over your WHOLE body (yes, includes your legs) - that fixes almost everything like this.

You can't shrink your pelvic bone width, but bodybuilding is all about illusion. Your hips will look narrower if your legs are bigger and fuller, if your lats are wider and your shoulders are more developed.
Yours is a pretty classic challenge to have but still very doable. In more extreme cases of muscle gain guys like Jay Cutler did really well with a wider hip structure (not that I'm suggesting you need to go to that length).
Also, 5'8" at 140lbs means you have a lot of room to fill out so just focus on adding muscle everywhere for a while to see what happens.
