Strong WTF at all the 60+ players on fresh start servers. No surprise Jokerd is one of them, I remember he was the first 60 (Frost Mage) back in Classic Vanilla. Now he's this high this fast as a freakin' warrior lol.

its still insane but isn't the 50% XP buff also on those servers as well? Not to mention the actual amount of XP needed to reach level 1-60 and 6-70 is significantly reduce in WOTLK

I feel like I've put in a lot of hours. My /played shows 23 hours, but I've been AFK a lot today, unlike other days, so might be more accurate to say 19-20 hours. Either way I'm only 29.66 or so. Guess I'm not efficient / dungeon cleave spamming enough.

I'm level 17 and just been doing RFC since 13. Haven't started barrens just walked over there and logged out. Wondering just do yellow quests then start WC spamming? Wondering what's fastest way to level right now

Finally got my first mount at level 30 haha. Gold is hard as a hunter. BRB you have one less bag cuz of ammo, so you are forced to delete/not-pick-up chit more often. Brb gotta buy ammo, easily spent 4g+ on ammo so far. Was just using aspect of the cheetah this whole time from 20-30.

Currently level 31, probably gonna hit 32 before I sleep. Trying to get as close to 33 as possible I guess.

Timeline looking like this.

Friday: Work and busy, but gonna aim for 34-35.

Saturday: Work and hopefully not busy, gonna aim for 37-38, if I get lots of Scarlet Monastery in there that should help out.

Sunday: Seeing the family for a little, but largely free. Should hit 40-42.

Monday: Free all day. Gonna aim for 45.

Tuesday: Free, but gonna see a girl for a 2nd date. Will be happy just to hit 47-48.

Wednesday: MAYBE 50. If not then Thursday?

Thursday: 50-52.

Friday: 54-55.

Saturday: 55 for sure. Quitting the huntard and making a DK. Might even hit 60 on the DK cuz 50% xp boost on top of the fairly swifty DK starter zone. HFP is fairly speedy and fun too.

I was POM Pyro in TBC but it seems that got nerfed in WOTLK. Reps for recommendations.

Trickier yeah, mostly it just means that you gotta stand in particular places more often, focus specific adds, dodge fire more often, drop the cooldowns at more opportune times, etc. Sounds harder than it ends up being in practice I think. Some fights are naturally more ranged favored DPS wise, just how it goes. DKs at least have plate armor, self heals, and anti-magic shield to make life easier.

I assume you're talking PvP, in which case I lean towards arcane tbh. 5 stacks of AB, using PoM to double cast a maxed out AB is pretty OP.

For PvE, thought it was worth posting the below... shows the "flavor of the phase"... note how frost/unholy DK is always S or A tier. Arcane starts out with a bang, then gradually gets succeeded by fire as crit becomes more abundant.

So if you look at my previous posts, my goal was to hit 37-38 today. I'm currently at 45 lol. 10 levels to go till DK, might hit it by Monday or Tuesday at this rate tbh. Still jealous of all of the 70s I'm seeing everywhere.

And due to the 50% xp boost, you end up being 59 1/2 by the time you finish the starter quests for DK. Did SOME quests in HFP, and did Ramparts / Blood Furance, currently at like 62.85, super close to 63. I think I'll be 70 by end of week tbh.

Going from BM Huntard to DK is night and day. No more mana considerations. Feels like there's nearly zero down time.

Played all of TBC classic and got to 2600+ ratings/glad cutoff almost every season. Gonna be playing WOTLK also. Was 2700/Arena master in original wrath. Have a Rdruid, Resto/Ele Sham and Lock will be playing on Benediction alliance. Can q with any of you ****s

The leveling speed really picks up once you hit Outland. I just hit 65 and I've still got a handful of things to do in HFP.

Not sure exactly who it was but that 10g helped out a lot. Was able to train a lot of moves I've been putting off and get that epic ground mount, das it mane.

45 now, ready to start some ZF spellcleave runs. Mage has been fun. Just aggro about 10 melee mobs nova, 1 blizzard then cone of cold usually kills all.

So my DK is level 69, and I've been doing BGs from 66-70, might hit honor cap and get the brutal glad 2hander and most of the armor when I reach 70. Some random tidbits of advice for everyone below.

-Once you reach level 30, you should buy all the STV Pages (Green Hills of Stranglethorn). There's 16 to buy, and if you turn them all in at once you get around 17k exp. Usually costs 9s a page, so like 1.5g.

-If you're poor and worried you can't afford a mount at 40, do Uldaman dungeon runs. You get 5-10g per run.

-All the ZF quests give you over 70k exp.

-The Hinterlands gets you like 3 levels if you start there at 48 or so. The quests which used to be elite quests are now soloable / non-elite.

-All the BRD quests give you over 100k exp, but there's lots. You also get like 30g a run per person.

-If you make a DK you start with 275 First Aid, all the flight paths, 4x12 slot bags. And you leave the starter zone with like 10-20g or so, and with the joyous journeys EXP buff you end at 59 1/2.

-Do everything in your power to get a normal flight mount at level 60. It makes all the TBC questing braindead and fast. Helps you compete for mobs/items too.

-If you're a DK you can do a certain Blood build (look on YouTube) and can level 62-70 in about 8 hours from soloing Blood Furnace. They say it's like 400k xp/hr if you're efficient.

-I recommend doing BGs from 61-70, specifically Alterac Valley, at least until the honor cap of 75k. Unfortunately you'll get owned the whole time, because even if you're fresh start you play against non-fresh start servers. And you won't make any gold. But the XP is tolerable, and you get lots of honor. By the time you turn 70 you'll have the Brutal Gladiator weapon(s), full armor set, and an accessory.

sunday i will hit 51 minimum.

mon/tues/wed/thur/fri i will get two levels each, putting me at 61.

get to 70 over the weekend.

leaves me with an entire week to level a DK from 55-70.

Decided I'm not gonna play wotlk. Got my druid to 70 and didn't have the same spark. Played the chit outta wotlk when I was 17, basically played 8hrs almost everyday the whole xpac. Have great memories of it and don't wanna "rewrite" them for lack of a better word. + I can't stand raiding with 24 randos in their discord everyone talking bullchit, the older I get the more I just wanna hang out with a few good brahs. When I was younger I loved hanging out in vent all day with heaps of people but not these days.


for some nitpicky chit lol... all the GDKP runs rub me the wrong way. The term "pumper" is annoying. Addons are way too op . The overall vibe of WoW is just different these days.
