Hi everybody, I am a 17 year old dude who started working out november 2020 as a pretty overweight and fat dude at 207lbs, 5’11”.
Since then I have been working out consistently and I did cut at first until the summer 2021 where i weighed 158lbs and was very skinnyfat and weak and wasn’t really happy with how I looked so I started bulking, but didn’t really make any progress and I stalled on many of my lifts and really just got fat.
I started another cut in december 2021 with a online coach, I made some decent progress with my lifts during that cut and ended up at a leaner state and i looked better than the summer of 2021 but i still wasn’t satisfied so I started a bulk on march 28th and have been bulking since then. But now I am worried I gaining to much fat and too little muscle.
So i decided to come here for some advice.

My lifts have progressed like this:
Bench: 176lbs 1RM - 205lbs 1RM
OHP: 117lbs 1RM - 155lbs 1RM
BB Rows: 115lbs x 8 reps - 165lbs x 10 reps
I have unfortunately not been able to squat or deadlift because of a minor lower back injury so now i am doing hack squats instead.Last edited by Julius04; 08-13-2022 at 01:59 PM.

Do you have pics? Or bodyfat percentage? Depending on how intensely you go, some say bulk at 10% BF and cut again at 15%.
I started out at around 28% BF in April and am now down to about 15 or 16%. I'd like to get down to around 10-12% before I start bulking.
At that point I might go as high as 20% before cutting again because I know I can get rid of it since I did before. Don't know if that helps. It's really about the level you're comfortable with, like is definition or size more important?Progress from February to August 2022

You still seem pretty lean so honestly if I were you I'd probably do a slow bulk. If you start looking flabby you could do another cut. Or you could cut until it starts getting cold out and then start a bulk. That's basically what I'm doing. If you look at the progress pics in my post you can see what a difference the cut makes. Even though my muscles most likely didn't grow in that 4 months while I was cutting, they appear that way because of the increase in definition.
