An article I read this morning. As it brings up, the GOP tried to add in the Democrats bill that the IRS with the new 90,000 agents will only be able to audit those making $400,000 a year or more. The Democrats voted that down ~
"The White House Is Lying About Democrats’ Middle-Class Auditing Scheme"
https://thefederalist.com/2022/08/10...diting-scheme/
excerpt:
While the Democrats’ so-called Inflation Reduction Act will use taxpayer dollars to pack the Internal Revenue Service with 87,000 new agents, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed there won’t be any new audits on people making less than $400,000 a year.
The claim is ridiculous on its face. Over 99 percent of Americans make less than $400,000 per year. And while the IRS employs more than 78,000 people full-time, the agency has fewer than 66,000 agents as of March to handle its audits. But the Biden White House wants you to believe these 87,000 new agents will be reserved for auditing the top 1 percent, with no effect on everyday Americans.
Despite claims that the new audits will target the rich, all available evidence suggests the opposite. As Fox Business’s Thomas Catenacci reported, an analysis from House Republicans estimates that “Americans who earn less than $75,000 per year are slated to receive 60% of the additional tax audits.” That annual salary accounts for roughly three-quarters of Americans and covers the lower and much of the middle class.....

That report came from republicans and Republicans only. If Machin supported the claim he would've done what he did before regarding Biden's proposals. No republican wants Biden to achieve a proposal this big.
I honestly take comfort knowing these billionaires are going to be cornered when they can't get away with sh*t they used to get away with.

Your taxes were due in April. The IRS is still processing paper returns amid ‘unprecedented’ backlog....

Yup.
"The IRS audits the working poor at about the same rate as the wealthiest 1%."
"The IRS said, auditing poor taxpayers is a lot easier: The agency uses relatively low-level employees to audit returns for low-income taxpayers who claim the earned income tax credit. The audits — of which there were about 380,000 last year, accounting for 39% of the total the IRS conducted — are done by mail and don’t take too much staff time, either. They are “the most efficient use of available IRS examination resources,” Rettig’s report says.

The IRS is woefully understaffed, most people know this. People should be happy about this, and you'll appreciate it when you don't have to wait on hold for 8 hours if you need to call them. The IRS is also a revenue generating agency that can generate about $5-$7 per $1 spent. It's a no brainer.

The IRS is hiring new special agents!
Requirements include working min “50 hours per week, which may include irregular hours, and be on-call 24/7, including holidays and weekends” and “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”

because 'it's all about the Great Reset now'
[ and the Great Reset aint looking so great for 'we the people' {but only time will tell} ]
Their 'reset' in sum is basically about the building of a new age totalitarianism, not only in the US but globally. Think 'China' but worse and globally. You can deduce that from looking at not only all that they are saying but more importantly all that they are doing and how they're doing it.
The ability to build and maintain totalitarianism is directly related to the ability to totally control the labor force and most importantly the ability to forcefully generate revenue for the totalitarian government from the controlled labor force.
In the midst of the Great Reset, those agents are for what's to come soon.
I hope I'm wrong; I hope all the others who've looked closely at it all and who have deduced a similar game plan and end goals are wrong a well; and hope that things will turn out not so bad.
