Why are people worried about 87,000 new IRS agents?

An article I read this morning. As it brings up, the GOP tried to add in the Democrats bill that the IRS with the new 90,000 agents will only be able to audit those making $400,000 a year or more. The Democrats voted that down ~

Word. The dems are lying, of course. Those making less than $400,000 will be the targets, because those people cannot afford to legally fight an audit. There will be less audits for the wealthy because the wealthy can fight the IRS with their legal teams.

It's many different job positions. They'll be hiring a lot of revenue agents as well - at least it won't take a year to get your amended tax return processed. They are so backlogged it's ridiculous.

One of my audits the fuc*er couldn't find anything so he went to my cell bills and was asking about 10 cent call charges if those were legit for business purposes. After 2 days I basically bribed the IRS to GTFO of my office.

The IRS is woefully understaffed, most people know this. People should be happy about this, and you'll appreciate it when you don't have to wait on hold for 8 hours if you need to call them. The IRS is also a revenue generating agency that can generate about $5-$7 per $1 spent. It's a no brainer.
