Behind the back bar rows for rear delts?

Does anyone do these? I use a fixed barbell to superset upright rows with these. They’re a lot like doing skiers with hammer grip dumbbells. I find it hits rear delts much better for me than face pulls or reverse pec deck. My side delts and rear delts just get hit much better when doing a compound movement as opposed to isolating for some reason

I tried them before. Super awkward.

Just get an incline bench and do swings or rear delts rows instead. Or, swings until you can’t then do switch to rows (the goat mechanical drop set)

I've been more fond of using dumbbells in the past, but these are really good for posterior chain training.

That's a behind the back upright row.
Maybe it works better on the Smith machine.
It can feel good for some and ****ty for others.

If you have long enough hands, you can try this for rear delts

I like to learn from the mistakes of the people who take my advice.

One of my favorites for rear delts.

I do them on the smith machine, and I slightly lean forward so my butt is out of the way. The smith machine lets you lean forward some and not fall forward since the bar is locked in place and go only go up and down

I do them with a thick band and they feel fine. Never tried with a barbell.

Much prefer band rear delt rows.
