I have been distracted with swapping the trans on my sons S2K. Now that we got that knocked out, I decided to put an auto blip on my Lotus.
It is tight working under the dash on this car. But I got it all in and tested it out this afternoon with some country road runnning. Not pushing the car hard. Just out for an enjoyable drive. Once dialed in the auto blip works fantastic! LOVE it. Initially I was just going to be putting on for my son on the track, but it works so well I think I will use it also. Heel toe is MUCH harder when you are on track and really braking hard. Plus I dont have ABS in the car and you really need to feel the brakes so bending over your ankle and blipping will make that more a challenge. I can heel toe just fine, but this device works so well, I think I will really just focus in on max braking. (I only recently got rid of ABS a few track sessions ago in this car as we are so far outside the orig spec, it messes up the ABS at times. Something called ICE mode is NOT a fun thing to find yourself in coming off a long straight.

Glad you like it. I actually coded it out in my M because it was a bit annoying in daily driving. Every single downshift at 10mph scaring old people í ¾í´£
Makes perfect sense on the track and in the Twisties, but i wish it was defeatable without coding on my loud ass carLast edited by KilaByte; 08-03-2022 at 12:16 PM.

No. You still need the clutch. Just dont have to heel/toe on downshifts. Not an issue on the street, but on the track there is a lot more to manage.
Yea, not really for street driving. SPIRITED driving maybe, but not for just driving around. The unit I put in has an "on/off' switch. I mounted it where the radio used to be in the car so it is easy to reach and flip on/off. I put it on the car for the track mainly to help my son. But I think I will use it on track also. It will allow me to fully concentrate on braking force without trying to contort heel/toe.
Our Lotus is pretty highly modified and at our current power levels, if you are not blipping on down shifts you will be eating up sycros quickly. This will just make that MUCH easier.
In this vid, you can see how much I am 'under braking' the car. I lose the guy following me on the uphill esses only have him catch me by out braking me in the last 2 turns. I disabled the ABS because I am so far outside the stock parameters, I hit 'ice' mode twice on track. (where you try to put the brakes on and nothing happens but a rock hard pedal). A function of the computer getting fooled. Again, a function of being so far off stock settings. Now I can not have to worry about being hard on the synchros on down shift and give my full attention to braking the car.
Here is a few pics of the car

awesome feature. not quite the same, but my bike has a quickshifter and an autoblip, so i dont even need to use the clutch to up or downshift, just need the correct throttle control. makes riding a dream
"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."
