Why Wasnt War Games Used in WWE?

I mean yeah it is in NXT, but why didnt they use it in the main shows? Especially as a Survivor Series matches.

Imagine Bloodline and the Honorary Us vs Brock, Riddle and the Street Prophets.

Or even a mid card match- KO, Alpha Academy, and Theory vs Elias, Zeke, Elrod, and Ziggler.

Because its synonymous with WCW

I always found it weird they used the great American bash, but that was never a big ppv for them

3 Ring, 60 Man Battle Royal-impossible to keep track of what was going on-they did it from 1995-1998. You are thinking of Tower Of Doom-Dusty first did it at the 1988 Bash with Jimmy Garvin's team vs Sullivan's team as they were feuding over Precious. They bought it back in 1996 for Hogan & Savage vs Flair, Arn, Meng, Barbarian, Sullivan, Luger, Zeus & Ultimate Solution in one of the worst matches ever.

With Vince, it is about control. So with the cruddy invasion angle and its burial. Also - To be honest, using the old WCW names and then using them for NXT is further burial. It is just petty really.

Obviously cause Vince thought NXT as a lower tier show and as WarGames was WCW thing he wanted to tarnish it by booking it there, but thanks to HHH NXT saw its best days 2014-2020, and WarGame's revival in 2017 was great and NXT wrestleres were far skilled and faster than slow ass main roster guys, and the 2020 The Undisputed Era vs Team McAfee was a master piece, it was amazing. Vince thought WarGames didn't deserve the main roster, but it was the other way around, main roster WWE did not deserve the War Games match, main roster WWE has been dead since going pg in 2008 but 2014 to 2020 NXT made WWE enjoyable again, now everything about WWE sucks and WarGames should be retired for good as current wrestling world doesn't deserve it.

“We’ll have a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match. The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that. This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing. We just upped the ante a little bit with WarGames and made it evolve.”

Survivor Series 2022 will take place on Saturday, November 26th at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Vince was hostile towards most WCW creations. He even altered Goldberg's theme from the WCW original. HHH is a bit more open-minded to utilizing stuff from WCW it would seem.

I wasnt a WCW guy so I dont have an attachment to the match but still cool.

Anyway for the women match, Damage Control I guess they will get a new member or some sort of alliance with someone.
