I've been lifting in a detached garage so it's pretty hot, outside temps 100.
I have a 24" drum fan I run on max blowing directly on me when I lift.
I drink 2 liter water through my workout but I'm feeling gassed out half way through. I tried gatorade but it leaves a strange feeling in my mouth/throat. I think because my diet contains basically no sugar for a long time I don't really tolerate sugar drinks.
From what I read the more important part of the intra workout is some sodium and a little potassium for hydration.
But how can I get a few carbs without something so sugary?

I do Gatorade Zero or Propel powder packets intra and sometimes throughout the day. 10 packets are generally $2-3.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.
