I don't see a single prior usage of the SPR to influence gas prices.
With the way Biden's decisions are going, I fully expect to see an actual supply disruption any time now.

The libs and op actually believe this stuff. I don't even think the post is trolling. OP actually believes this, along with the other smooth brain retards who voted for biden.

This admin is playing a shell game with the saudis having them buy russian oil, which we then buy from them. Gas prices drop, mid terms arent as big of a disaster.

The shut down of American energy independence remains intact, the common sheeple see gas go down a bit, and the admin claims victory by circumventing their own embargoes. Its all so tedious.

Gas prices are always a bit self regulating, so long as there are no supply shocks from natural disaster, etc. High gas prices add into inflation, which helps create recession, recession leads to lower gas demand, gas prices fall. It's not rocket surgery. All politicians can do is get in the way or get out of the way. Biden wasn't alone but he did help create the problem. The problem is resolving itself as US recession takes hold and likely global recession is on its way too.

That and China's pushing the Coof lockdowns again, squeezing demand over there.

Nobody ever accused Biden voters of being intelligent. They're the ones who traded the greatest economy in US history for utter incompetence and destruction because the former president hurt their feelings on Twitter.

Dems; use the smallest amount of data during shortest period of time to manipulate truth.

They do this for everything. Show gas prices for the last few months only. Show how welfare “helped” by only showing 10 years instead of 25 years before and after(generational changes)…all to conclude the wrong thing ON PURPOSE!!

This is all critical thinking skills, which I would have assumed educated people have. Unfortunately, reason, logic, critical thinking skills, are no longer taught, which is why you can have so many “educated” individuals, but yet they know nothing

I was reading how psychopaths will manipulate by causing a problem to cause harm and then they will change their tactic while creating the illusion of it being some genius solution so they can take credit. They will then use this to further manipulate their target. Exactly how the US government works with domestic policy. Most problems are created by them, but they are the one's with the solutions. Maybe, just maybe if they stayed off of it, there would have never been a problem.

For instance, the pandemic, they shut everything down, now claiming growth. Now the gas prices. I think right now they are going to let inflation and the housing market issue to continue spiraling out of control. They will continue to do what they do until it it hits a breaking point, and they they will find a solution to solve the problem which will basically be them not doing what they are currently doing. Imagine you throw someone out of a moving car so you can then turn the video camera on and film yourself rescuing them and taking them to the hospital. Some hero. Saw a vid where a guy tied a dog to some rail tracks, then set up a camera and went and rescued the dog right before the train hit the dog.

Example: 2008 crash caused by sub prime loans. It was the government that mandated banks to give sub prime loans and gave the guarantees if they failed. When it crashed they then blamed it on the banks, but then bailed the banks out, and stopped giving out stupid loans. Whallah, Obama claimed to fix the housing crisis. But the government caused the problem in the first place. Would have been better if they hadn't put their dirty hands in it in the first place.

In this current political environment and with Biden being this much of an absolute train wreck, Republicans should be forecasted to win like 80 seats and probably get close to a Senate supermajority.
I think republicans have a good chance for house and senate.

lot of liberal pot heads pissed they can't get high in public parks anymore around here and some grumbles about the new pedestrian class as a drivers license requirement which makes no sense.
the people who spent their adolescence being pedestrians and bike riders need to take a course educating them on pedestrians and bike riders?
I bet this will be just another NYS "tax". er i mean there will be a fee for the new mandatory course.

libs will still vote for her though i bet.

Making American energy independent once again would befit Americans better.

Read some really sad and troubling news this morning. It was about our lousy economy and much higher food prices being seen. Reportedly 1 in 5 Americans are now needing to obtain food from food banks. Americans are going hungry doe to the high inflation that is being experienced.

Lower gas prices might ended up helping to lower food prices over time, but there remains other inflationary issues that remain to be dealt with - in particular all the money printing the Democrats have done since coming into office. Printing lots of money will cause high inflation.

    The article I read ~

Bidenflation: More than 1 in 5 Americans now forced to use food banks or skip meals -TIPP

    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog...pp_survey.html

    excerpt:

Less than a year ago, Joe Biden dismissed inflation with "I don't know anybody" who is "worried about inflation." He declared that "no serious economist" is, dismissing the warnings of heavyweight monetary experts, trade organizations, and even establishment Democrat economists.

“There’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation is on the way. No serious economist,” President Joe Biden said on Monday, in a Breitbart News story dated July 19, 2021.

Inflation, which clocked in at 9.1% this past Friday in the CPI, in fact, has been building for months, following a series of five gargantuan Democrat-led congressional stimulus bills premised on COVID relief mostly. The last of these passed in March 2021 as Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan Act, pumping $1.9 trillion into the economy. When the Federal Reserve prints up cash to pay for these ventures, the money doesn't have enough actual economy to absorb the newly minted dollar bills, which is what turns that cash into inflation. It's comparable to the way the human body converts excess carbs and calories it can't use into fat. And sure enough, we have a fathead president who's still denying everything he sees on the economic scale, claiming that Big Meat, greedy gas station owners and Vladimir Putin did it.

But it's no joke to Americans who are now going hungry as a result of this Bidenflation. As in hungry, thin, starving...

One out of five are reduced to using food banks for sustanance now, according to a new report. Another one out of five are skipping meals in this land of plenty to keep food costs down.

A huge new survey from the respected pollster TIPP Insights conducted between July 6 and July 9 has found the shocking reality as to what Americans are going through as Joe lets the money roll in and out:

American families are spending 15% more than last year on food expenses. How are they coping with the cost increases?

The shocking finding is from the latest the Golden/TIPP Poll of 1,643 Americans completed past Friday.

The poll asked Americans how they were dealing with the higher food costs. While 88% of the survey respondents replied they were making changes, 10% said they had not made changes to their food budgets.

Given an option to choose all that applied, the survey found -

50% Buying store brands more often
47% Cutting down on high-ticket items (i.e., meats)
    36% Shopping at bargain stores
    34% Eating less (portion sizes)
    23% Skipping meals
21% Go to food banks to supplement groceries
20% Applied and got federal or state assistance such as SNAP/WIC
    17% Growing my vegetables
    2% Other
It's quite incredible that in the Land of Plenty, we are now going the way of the third world as a result of Joe Biden's Argentina-like government spending impulses. A lot more than 21% of Americans are cutting back as a result of Bidenflation -- including reducing their portion sizes, cutting meat, buying cheaper brands, seeking federal handouts, anything to escape at least some of the effects of the ongoing miasma of inflation that hits everything priced in dollars. A whopping 17% of Americans are growing their own vegetables, in a labor-intensive victory-garden wish for something better.

Things like food inflation hit every American where it hurts, and it's no surprise that other pollsters, such as Rasmussen, have found that inflation is the number one issue preoccupying voters, something the press is failing to cover.

Mollie Hemingway has an important observation about the political implications of this, featured on RealClearPolitics:.....
while food banks help they don't fix the problem of high priced food because people are still buying that high priced food to donate.
there are few public green houses with volunteers who grow veggies for the poor and farm land made available for people to grow their own vegetables in my area though i'm not sure how the borrowed farmland thing goes i do know the green houses are good at growing and getting fresh foods to people.

    i don't think it's enough.
personally i think we need to go back to the old ways of people growing their own veggies and canning them for later use.
back in the 70's i remember my parents having large family parties canning food in those Ball jars and making tomato sauce from a trailer load of tomatoes.

Using the SPR to try and control gas prices is by far the dumbest play of this administration.

If you disagree, you'll find out why soon enough.

Is this where we are? Celebrating Biden when things go from bad to worse and back to bad under him?

you Democrats truly have no shame, but at least now people can check you idiots with your own words when you say the President doesn't control the prices.

The Democrats have had the majority for something like 60 years, which is why the country went to chit in such a short period of time. This country has been moving left and away from liberty for a while now. If you ever look at the Republican presidents and who controlled the Congress and house, you will see why the budget get blown every time under those presidents. Srs
