Very happy that MS buying Acti-Blizz is leading to more and more inclusivity. Phil stays winning.
Where it previously gave players the option to select Male or Female body types, it now simply refers to them as Body 1 and Body 2 respectively, similar to games such as Halo Infinite, Elden Ring, Monster Hunter Rise, and Starfield, among several others. As a text-only change seen in a grand total of two menus across the entirety of the game, this is a very low impact, but important change in keeping with the developers views on inclusivity.
Microsoft single-handedly bringing you heathens and degens to the current state of the world and culture. You fullas better get in on that wokepass.
Spoiler!Sig line can't be a novel

I joined a guild after a 2-3 years break from the game, it was Classic.
Here's how it went:
1. I join, my character is called "Impregnator"
2. Neckbeards in gchat automatically go "yikes, who invited him ?"
3. Admin whispers me and tells me my name might be inappropriate
4. I go wtf why did u invite me then lol, he lets me in the guild after the initial backlash calms down, at this point im already cringing so ill just do my thing and run BGs until i find a better guild
5. I see an interesting chat in trade chat, i join, i make fun of one of the persons for being fat and thinking its okay under the guise of "body acceptance"
6. Immediately, one of the guild officers whispers me to stop doing what im doing, that its a bad image for the guild
7. I tell him to go fuk himself
8. /gquit
It has gotten to a point where you cant even play an MMORPG without having a bunch of neckbeards watch everything you say or do and even worse, the officer probably told his guild to mass report me over my name because my character got flagged for rename a day later lol.
What's this stuck up culture where everything is offensive and you can't have a good time in a game anymore ?Lurker for 2 years before registering crew
Gives tutoring classes in college just to meet sloots crew
No respect for Wks crew
Crypto bros crew

Welcome to what it's like when the far left has influence over the overall gaming culture. People call them wokescolds for a good reason, these lefties are obsessed with trying to control everyone with their phucked up version of puritanism. It's like hanging out with some turbo-religious types. They got all sorts of ideals, and it's their mission in life to enforce those ideals wherever possible.
Concepts like having fun, taking it easy, and not taking yourself too seriously are alien to them. Everything has gotta be serious business with this crowd.

A friend from high school has a mom whose full time job used to be drawing WoW furries. Srs. This predates Patreon and ****, just taking comms from DeviantArt, mIRC, etc.
At the end of the day though it's quite literally a multiracial fantasy game so who tf cares about how people identify themselves there.
Lost Ark might be for you then srs.Go Canucks Go!
