    Should I eat more

    Hi

    I’ve been in the gym 2 months

    About me;
    Im 5ft 5
    76kg
    Skinny fat physique
    I track macros and consume enough protein
    Currently on 1.7k calories (my maintenance is 2.4k)
    4-5 times a week workout
    I don’t have much muscle on my body, my arms and belly hold a lot of fat

    I don’t see a lot of progress after two months, in terms of gaining muscle

    I ran for two weeks and saw a lot of fat loss but no muscle

    THE QUESTION

    SHOULD I GO ON A SURPLUS OF +250 of my maintenance to see muscle growth, or will I just get more fat?

    Pictures always helps the most - upload them to your bodyspace if you have any.

    It sounds like you will benefit from both muscle gain and fat loss. Neither would be a waste of time but you aren't going to get to your target physique in a single phase of either one.

    If you train hard, there is no reason why you should gain only fat. It can be hard to ascertain your results since you won't instantly get muscle definition - but you should get generally stronger over a wide selection of lifts.
