Hey guys, I am not anti-meat but I do worry about about what we feed our animals and how that effects our health when we eat those animals. Should I be concerned about this? Animals eating GMO feed that has been genetically altered to contain high omega-6 fatty acids? I always shoot for grassfed, free range, etc..

As far as I know, it depends on the fat content of your meat. If you’re eating super lean meats, then it won’t make much difference since the fat content is negligible anyway…
I’m not sure about how hormones etc effect it, but GMOs are not by nature harmful in any way…"When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

There is nothing wrong with eating meat with GMO ingredients. I used to munch on Purina Beggin Strips. It's like a bacon treat for a dog. It never made me sick. But I stopped eating them when I woke up in an intensive care unit at a hospital. It wasn't he Beggin Strips. I got hit by a car while sitting out in the street licking my balls.

Since it's along the lines of OP's question, what about any benefits of grass fed vs. corn fed beef? Does anyone know what kind of quality difference that makes? I'd assume at least some. I've started buying grass fed and paying more for it since about a year. I don't taste much of a difference, however.

Yeah I hear something like that years ago the fatty acids aid in bioaccumulation of certain chemicals.
LOL
I do know that true 100% grassfed beef is supposed to have a more favorable fatty acid profile. Specifically polyunsaturated fatty acid. Omega 3-6 ratio. But I am trying to recall if I came across any studies over the years with respect to impact on health.
