    Pickleball and Piranha

    I play paddle and racket sports when I'm not pumping iron. When it's hot out I break a pretty good sweat and work really hard when I come home my clothes smell like ammonia. I've found this to mean I'm burning muscle. The day after it feels like I jumped in a pool of Piranha and they took little bites out of all my muscles. Not a good feeling. I want to learn if there is something I can eat or drink Pre, during and Post workout to reduce the muscle loss.

    Well, cardio is good for you. The activity you mention should not be 'burning muscle' - it's burning fat. You can lose muscle if you are in a severe calorie deficit and dont have enough fat to burn. Bottom line if you really think you are losing muscle its not the activity, it's your calorie balance. Eat more.
