The political science definition of the word "liberal" is not what you seem to think it is. The liberal world order is the idea of encouraging democracy, human rights, security and monetary cooperation, open markets and similar concepts across the world that was established after World War II. It's what we fought for in WWII.

They're selling it like that however I don't think that's exactly what we fought for. Open borders, too I suppose? I believe we already have open markets

Liberal world order is not a domestic policy. It was the concept of global cooperation after WW2 and has been a guiding principle that led to the formation of organizations intended to keep us out of another World War.

i doubt global cooperation will ever be in the cards. I’d rather see the US prosper.

Another term for Congressmen and Senators is lawmakers. This will probably come as a shock to you, but most of them are licensed Attorneys.

I think the people who are promoting the mentioned Liberal World Order have a more broad definition now.

I agree that it is not limited to domestic, but there are people in the US who are such delirious egomaniacs, that they believe their ideologies of how society should be, should go global.

    I hope they are stopped.

“Liberal world order" doesn't mean "Democratic Party world order". Globally liberalism means people should be able to elect their government, that they have certain rights, that economies should be free and not commanded in service of the state.

"Liberal world order” is trending online because people who haven’t read enough history are hyperventilating. Fifteen years ago, the phrase would have gone little noticed when George W. Bush talked about bringing, "liberal democracy," to Iraq.

Yes Mark, but “liberal” in this context is not referring to the American political left. It’s not talking about Democrats. This “liberal” is referring to classical liberalism, an ideology preaching the values of liberty and equality, things like freedom of speech and press, religious liberty, etc. The Founding Fathers were “liberals” in this regard.

The “liberal world order” has existed since the end of World War 2. It is not referring to Jewish reptile bankers taking over the world and forcing LWW into an underground sadness factory. It’s referring to maintaining a global system centered around strong multilateral institutions, with respect for national sovereignty, human rights, free markets and the rule of law.

    Everyone tells a story.

So what’s progress? Computers taking jobs? Thriving companies closing and cutting jobs after 50years (I worked for one). Not letting go of racial past and continuing the attack? Not excepting your biological reproductive organs.

I’ve moved on, hell I don’t even use my legs anymore to make money.

I got me a nice battery lawn mower and weed wacker, because my gas mower broke. I love these new electric tools, the weed wacker can cut a forest.

When the liberal world order (7 is correct, it’s not a dem thing) it’s a control thing which Bush family was part of, ask NG, forces us to go electric we will no longer have a chioce and there will but a lot of waste which goes against the climate change mindset.

Tell your pop thanks for the tip I’m off again continuing the freak show!

Corbs I like ya man. We agree on a bunch except for the support of DJT. So I ask you, since you've continued your defense of the last guy - point to one single time Trump did the above.

As for 1/6. I'm not looking to compare it to other events. No need. It was what it was. You either think it was an attack on everything our country stands for or you think it was a tourist visit. That's your right even if I think you're wrong.

    Simple Good story Conservatism

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying. Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?" She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the conservative side of the fence." If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test! If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him..

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down. If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and Jesus silenced. If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he may repost it. A liberal may or may not delete it because he may "offended."

Another example of Conservatism opposed to ?

I have stated many times I don't want him to run again, I have stated many times he's vain, and embellisher, thin skinned etc. I think he had some solid policies and our country was in a much better situation when he was at the helm, if thats defense well then i'm guilty as charged.

Back to Jan 6... Trump, his administration, a number of elected officials, his other enablers, including the far right, arguably racist proud boys and oathkeepers, attempted a coup, based on lies about a stolen election. They should all be held accountable. This is where the facts are pointing and have been pointing for well over a year. Some of you just have your heads in the sand.

The biggest threat to this country is the corporate money in politics, wealthy oligarchs, and the white supremacists who are afraid of losing "their country." It's certainly not caravans at the border, crime in Chicago and New York, CRT, gas prices and inflation (that are high all over the world), mostly due to the monopolistic corporations that set prices.

    But I digress.

    But I digress.
I am confused about the claim of white supremacists, because I have never met one. I know they exist, but mentioning them as top threats to our country while ignoring other political groups that have caused wide-spread violence and destruction of businesses, is disingenuous and ugly politics.

People do vote on the economy, taxes, inflation, gas prices, crime and violence and when school systems take away rights from parents. If anyone would like to challenge me on the schools taking rights from parents, look no further than Virginia, a blue State and where parents rose up against McAuliffe and voted in a new governor, Youngkin.

McAuliffe stated the following: “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” That virtually ended his campaign and parents revolted.

The Ukraine war does have an effect on oil and fuel costs, but Biden's administration's war on fossil fuels exacerbates prices. Instead of asking to produce more oil here in the US, he goes to Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela to beg for more production. Please don't come back and say that nothing is holding back US oil production when Biden's agencies continue to hold up permitting and issue restrictive new regulations and issue rulings that directly inhibit their ability to do business.

This past week, the EPA announced it may soon issue a ruling declaring the Permian Basin is in “non-attainment” status under the agency’s ozone regulations. Anyone think that doesn't have a direct effect on oil prices?

You mentioned the border as if you believe it is controlled, when it is wide open and Fentanyl is coming across the border and is the #1 cause of death of 18 to 45 year olds. The border is open because Biden wants Hispanics' votes. But, the opposite is happening and Hispanics do not like an open border. They also do not like socialism and that is not limited to Florida. The border is never mentioned on liberal media because it is a disaster and a national security threat.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday (this morning) that the immigration crisis at the southern border is not unique to the U.S., and that southern countries are also seeing a massive influx of migrants due to the global economic downturn and climate change. Climate Change is a charade. It was blazing hot at the border last year and all years previous because it was Summer. Weather phenomenons have occurred our entire lifetimes. No one can prove that bad weather is the result of Climate Change. The Earth has always experienced ice ages, heat phases that lasted for years, etc. Climate Change hysteria is a hoax.

Please notice that I did not mention or denigrate democrats or republicans because it is not productive. But, to make a blanket statement that conservatives don't like change, when the country is experiencing self-inflicted inflation and intentional division from all sides of politics, is also disingenuous and partisan.

By the way, Jeff Bezos is a liberal and owner of The Washington Post, a liberal news outlet:

Biden has blamed the former President and MAGA Republicans, Russia and its ongoing war with Ukraine, the coronavirus pandemic, oil production companies, and now even gas stations as gas prices are the highest ever recorded in U.S. history.

Not at all. You have actively defended his and others actions and 1/6. That's why you are in that camp in my eyes.

Biden is a joke and I'm not going to defend him or his admin. Many who cast their ballot in favor of him did it as a vote against DJT - much like many did against HC in 2016. I'm actively rooting for a "normal" republican to run. For many issues I don't supported the left as they continue to move themselves further and further from center. But what I'll never support is a person or party that can't look past themselves when they lose and yield their power. To me, that's the foundation of our country and one I personally have zero tolerance for. YMMV.

I’m not a fan of Biden, didn’t vote for him in 20 and certainly won’t vote for him in 24 but do you not think Trump's economic policy doesn't have an impact on where we are today? Keeping interest rates low, cutting taxes and exploding the deficit during an economic boom is what led to inflation it the 1970's. Sound familiar?

Biden has blamed the former President and MAGA Republicans, Russia and its ongoing war with Ukraine, the coronavirus pandemic, oil production companies, and now even gas stations as gas prices are the highest ever recorded in U.S. history.
You packed a lot in there, so let's get to it. You don't have to believe me. You can ask the FBI.

    https://www.fbi.gov/news/testimony/c...hite-supremacy

And I quote "Wray’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, his first before Congress since the insurrection, was one in a series of hearings centered on the law enforcement response to the Capitol insurrection. Lawmakers pressed him not only about possible intelligence and communication failures ahead of the riot but also about the threat of violence from white supremacists, militias and other extremists that the FBI says it is prioritizing with the same urgency as the menace of international terrorism organizations."

I mean you can bellyache about gas prices and inflation all you want, but the U.S. has some of the LOWEST gas prices in the world and inflation has the US in the middle of the pack when compared to other countries. You can easily look this up. I'm gonna actually defend Biden on this. Presidents have very little to do with the price we pay at the pump or inflation. This is just fact. This is all true despite the oil companies producing/refining all they can and making record profits. I feel like it's all a money grab because they are truly threatened by renewables, and they should be. The last time crude was at its current price, gas prices were closer to $3/gallon not $5/gallon. You can easily research that too.

And the border has been and always will be what it is. It's no better or worse than it always has been. In addition to that our country would all but fail without immigrant workers. Would I like to see everyone come here legally? For sure. This is an issue that should be debated and settled upon instead of constantly complained about. A dumb border wall was never the solution.

I get why a lot of people always go to these hot button issues. It's because right wing media always leads with these fear campaigns like inflation, gas prices, don't teach my kid to be gay, don't teach real history because my kids are too fragile, bad immigrant caravans, fentanyl, worker unions suck, etc... They avoid actual debate on all of these issues because they literally have nothing to argue other than fear and offer no real solutions to anything.

Also, 97% of scientists believe in climate change. I respect your opinion, but that's just that, your opinion with no basis in science or fact.

Also, to the jerks that said earlier that the overturning of Roe has no impact on people, tell that to the 10 year old that was raped and impregnated in Ohio this past week that was told by a judge to basically just deal with the pregnancy. We're gonna keep hearing more and more stories like this and actual women and little girls are going to die. Is this really worth it over a fetus? The logical next step is banning birth control and they're already taking about that. What's next and how much is too far?

lm sure that inflation starting to rise as soon as Biden took over was just a coincidence
