    Question Glutes in sumo deadlift

So basically I'm surrounded with guys that don't do powerlifting or even bodybuilding, just regular gym bros that lift same weight same reps 365 24/7 and I started deadlifting bout month ago and I'm doing it sumo style. So after watching some yt videos about form I've started it on my own and I've got 1 question about sumo.Shoukd the weight be pulled with the glutes l, cause I pull the weight with my glutes neutral spine little upper back rounding, but my question is basically on sumo should I pull the weight with my glutes is that correct or it's wrong, I can't even record in my gym to post it here so I can get advice sorry

Glutes get involved in the top end through lockout of a sumo pull. Start the pull with your lats, lower back, and hamstrings.

I'd agree with Drew about lockout. And while it's not a squat, you DO still have significant quad activation at the start of the pull.
I pull sumo and for an old guy I do ok. (I do have a world record in IPL for my age group)
Feel free to check out PhDPepper1111 on youtube or tic tok.
There are a lot of great how to videos out there. A few who've talked about and do sumo well I would say are: Johnny Candito, Jeff Nippard, John Paul Cauchi, Calgary barbell, and Matt Vena.
If you can post a video I'm happy to take a look.

Here is a 545 deadlift I did a little over a week ago:
You can check out my channel from there but frankly I only show my lifts - a lot of the other guys talk how to and biomechanics so theirs are much better

    Good luck to you!

Glutes and hamstrings are what got my deadlifts moving. I did a lot of stiff-Legs, reverse Hypers, GHR’s, and different leg curls. Also leg presses are good with a deadlift stance
    Best lifts
