It depends on whether I want to lose, gain or maintain.
Currently trying to maintain at about 2900 but probably that's still a small surplus (195 lbs, 5'11'')
If I don't watch my intake I'll end up at 3500 or soThe first principle is that you must not fool yourself—and you are the easiest person to fool.

I actually don't track but Ik where I'm at within 1-200 cals from years of extremely obsessive tracking. It definitely varies by the day, but generally, I'm in between 3.5k on the low end & 4k on the high end. I'm surprised how low some of the numbers are ITT.

My maintenance is usually around 2800 calories. I started bulking in February at around 3050 calories, which seems to have slowly become my new maintenance, so I now need around 3300 to gain slowly.
I tend to start cutting at around 2300 and eventually go down to 2000.

I had the most success with 2700-3000 for sustained weight loss last year. I typically aim for that as it's not especially difficult over long periods of time and yields consistent results.
If I'm not deliberately losing weight, I don't even track it carefully enough to say, but its got to be close to 4000 based upon how my weight increases. My maintenance is about 3500 without added activity.Bench: 320
Squat: 405
Deadlift: 505
