My Father-in-law is a remarkable man who has helped a lot of people, young and old. At the age
of 99, Bill Ivory was still training youngsters and anyone else who was interested in boxing at his home.
In the video you will see a few photos pinned up on his garage wall of many boxing heroes
and also of events in which he attended or took part in, in the sport.
I have put in links of a couple of articles written not too long ago for anyone who is interested to read
a bit more about him. The interviews may overlap with some information but give a good summary about his life.
I really love that he still has a wicked sense of humour. He told family and friends he doesn't want a party for
his 100th, so we are celebrating without him We plan to record the day, special messages etc as there are many
who vow.. that a team of wild horses cannot keep them away lol Bill is surrounded by an incredibly supportive and
wonderful community in and outside the world of boxing.

Thanks everyone! Guess what?!.. he will be making an appearance after all
Surprise! Well, haha not really
Our family and friends have had to work within the covid rules of course.
A good friend of his has invited pro Aussie boxer, Danny Green. He held the WBA light-heavyweight title from 2007 to 2008, the IBO cruiserweight title twice between 2009 and 2013, and the WBC interim super-middleweight title from 2003 to 2005.
He met him in the flesh not long ago. It will be a blast to see the shock on his face
* repping you all when I can. Thanks again.

That's great news, thanks for sharing it with us, Lou1se. *bow*
When you get older, every year you find fewer and fewer inspiring good men not to mention great men as our own role models. Part of the reason is that one by one they are leaving this world.
So a long-living inspiring great man like him (100, wow!!) is extremely rare these days.
This 4th of April, my heart will be there so I could witness the moment and receive part of his positive spirits and energy hoping to be able to pay it forward to the next generation myself someday.
I wish the great Bill Ivory and his family many more happy years ahead.

Thank you!! Haha Many moons ago my best friend lived next door to "special" son's parents So I
had the pleasure of meeting them well before I met him. Bill always loved a challenge and decided to
try his hand at matching making (..as you know he had a high win rate). So there I was nervous as hell BUTT
"special" son was unaware of the scheming plot and was extremely impressed by the young lass.
He did his very best to sweet talk her into going on a date with him
Well the rest is history!.

Today we have just received the news he has received the Order of Australia Medal in the general division
for his "service to boxing, and to youth". So well deserved and we are very proud of him!
