Honestly, I typically do. I'm not trying to be pedantic or anything, and were I trying to signal some kind of superiority in this way, wouldn't admit in my answer that I spent more time reading when growing up than socializing with people, so tend to "spit out" sentences like that in my mind by default. Also, I'm old enough now to have witnessed a clear separation in the lingo of the Zoomers and am pretty much indifferent towards intentionally adapting to that.

Your pithy, sarcastic retort exemplifies the precise verbal dilemma to which I subsequently alluded.
