I’m 6’3 and weighed 190 when I started (first picture). I weighted 210 in the second picture. I’m guessing my bodyfat went up 5%. So did I gain 10lbs fat and 10lbs of muscle? What do you think based on the picture? Is that a pretty good result for my first bulk?
My waist went from 33in to 36in.

I think from experience and going through the same at the moment, your body kinda realizes a massive change and takes in more carbs, to help grow, so keep going and it will even itself out..
Muscle weighs more then fat, but you probably gained the other mostly.. But quicker muscle growth with bulking, so a bit off both..
Ive lost 10kgs, and kinda see myself as looking both skinnier and fatter at the same time (probably due to too much beer, I mean advanced carbs).. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't, but keep at it and worth the effort..
(dont quite measure myself lol, but weigh sometimes..)
(Also bulking as well even though lost weight, went from a little over 110kg's in general to 98 or so..)Last edited by Gandog; 05-18-2022 at 04:56 AM.

Appearance and increased strength are probably the most relevant pieces of information
You could always do a proper body fat test (immersion, bod pod etc) to see what you are currently at and repeat as needed as you recomp to give you that more accurate feedback if desired.It's never too late!
