Nah, the risk to reward ratio is pissening.
Slipped a disc back in 2010 and my back has never been the same. It's not bad at all now but I still get short periods of lower back pain. The worst was the sciatica it gave me for a solid 2 years before it naturally went away, but during that time I couldnt walk more than 5 minutes before my left leg felt like it was being electrocuted.
Add to the fact I made my best leg and back gains without ever doing deadlifts and the final conclusion can only be; fk deads srs13% do 52% AA's gonna AA

No, I avoid the lifts that put considerable stress on my lower back now. My lower back is sketchy, and now it recently started to always ache at night and in the morning too (but goes away eventually). It's not real severe, but it still sucks.
It's just not worth the risk anymore (and I've fuked myself a few times with deadlifts before).

Strong misinformation ITT.
Deadlifts are nothing but good for your back. You brahs complaining about back pain are probably deadlifting like a cat having a seizure
In after “muh risk to reward ratio”. I’ve been deadlifting heavy for a decade and have only decreased my back pain (I have scoliosis and kyphosis, both of which have become less severe after years of deadlifting) and gotten thicker and stronger from head to toe. Guys who neglect deadlifts - unless they do a ton of rows, RDLs, good mornings, etc - tend to disappear from the side. Sorry, but hyperextensions and leg curls aren’t going to build a thick, powerful posterior chain*Deadlifts pants after taking a chit crew*
