Russian forces appear able to sustain only two significant offensive operations in Ukraine at this time, one attempting to seize Siversk and the other advancing on Bakhmut. These operations have focused on advances in the Siversk, Donetsk Oblast, direction from Verkhnokamianka and Bilohorivka and in the Bakhmut direction from the areas of Novoluhanske and the Vuhlehirska Thermal Power Plant since the end of the operational pause on July 16.[1] Russian forces have committed enough resources to conduct near-daily ground assaults and to seize territory on these two axes but have been unable to sustain a similar offensive operational tempo or to make similar territorial gains elsewhere in Ukraine. The Russian offensive, therefore, remains likely to culminate before seizing any other major urban areas in Ukraine.
Key Takeaways
- Russian forces currently appear able to sustain only two significant offensive operations in Ukraine, both in Donetsk Oblast, and the Russian offensive remains likely to culminate before seizing additional significant population centers.
- Ukrainian forces may have launched a localized counterattack southwest of Izyum.
- Russian forces attacked settlements east of Siversk and northeast and southeast of Bakhmut.
- Ground fighting is ongoing north of Kharkiv City.
- Ukrainian forces struck the Antonivskyi Bridge for the third time in ten days on July 27, likely rendering it unusable.
- The Mari El Republic north of Kazan sent two volunteer battalions to train and is forming a third battalion to deploy to Ukraine.
- Russian occupation authorities are importing Russians to work in occupied territories due to a lack of Ukrainian collaborators.
- Mariupol occupation authorities continue withholding humanitarian aid to force civilians to cooperate with and work for the occupation administration."A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."

Sometimes you don't get a medal for doing the right thing. Russia has made it clear they're going to carry on attacking their neighbours, poisoning people on foreign soil and generally refusing to behave in a civilised fashion for as long as they want. That should not continue, and since we can't fight them directly, we should do so indirectly. Sanctions and funding the victims in their latest aggression is a good start.

Looks like the Orcs don't have enough fighting power to keep the eastern offensive going and defending the south from the Ukrainian offensive at the same time.

Lol at russian forces blewing their wad for a couple of miles in Donbass/Luhansk, then needing a long operational pause and now have to hurry to the south because their comrades are sweating bullets

What a global humiliation for Russia.
First they had to withdraw form the north and now after almost 6 months they can only capture a small land area, almost no progress. Meanwhile their economy is going down the drain, can't order crucial equipment for their industry and military appartus and have a sky high inflation of 15%+. Only other joke countries supporting them are other poverty, authoritarian sh*tholes like China and Iran. "second strongest army" Just LOL
SAD!

That indeed is a bold statement because (re)taking a city is always hard since you need the boots on the ground and it's not clear how strong their offensive force really is.
The Ukraine now has the advantage for long range artillery but for retaking the city they need infantery and tanks. We will see how it will play out.
Yeah the fact they're trying to do business with phucking Iran just shows how desperate they are and how much damage the sanctions actually are doing.
Because Putin now pisses of Israel with his move towards Iran and he always tried to have good ties with Israel.
The time is playing against the Putin regime. Abbas Gallyamov, his former speechwriter, also said that maybe Putin was also looking for possible future political asylum for him and his family in case the whole thing tanks.

Who's the second strongest army?
In this small area of land, how many troops have met in kinetic warfare along the battlefield? Hundreds? Thousands? Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands?
How long does the battlefield line stretch? What other military has the size to maintain such a line of effort? What other military not only can maintain that line of effort but supply the logistics and manufacturing to advance with up to 25 million rounds of high explosive munitions expended with no end in site?

It's arguable if the war were to occur in certain areas that China would have a chance.
The US and Russia do not depend on import of natural resource to power their militaries.
China will come to power in the very near future, especially with advances to their Navy fleet. Once their Airforce building and Natural Resource dependency is resolved, they may shoot to number 1.
They're firmly stuck at 3 right now.
I get that it's easy to rag on Russia but in the end, just as Ukraine is on the skirmish line with Russia, you'd only see a difference in a more active tank battle. Russia would actually bring out their new tanks. Homeboy is using this to rotate old stock.

By saying he's my boy implies I'm pro Russia. Again, you're not paying attention to my position.
I'll say it again. The US shouldn't be involved. Championing this war is foolish and only leads to certain death of Ukraine as a nation. Peace is optimal. Negotiations should resolve all of this to cap it at the Donbas as its inevitable that Russia now takes half of Ukraine permanently.
Point being, it's happening with death or not. We in the US do it all the time. This isn't good versus evil. This, like us, is done in Russian national interest whether we clutch our pearls or not. The lies of rosy red pictures of Ukrainian success were false, are false, and will be false since the proposition of this war.
Accusing someone of being a Nazi is irrelevant when we're responsible as Americans for the Ukrainians being chewed up in war. Ukraine installed into their government an entire region led by Nazi separatists. As part of a compact coalition, they brought them into government. Even that is irrelevant.
I guess we're operating on two different planes, yours being obviously petty and shortsided. War lust is a hell of a drug if you've never seen battle.

Pretty interesting point of view. We'll see how it shakes out.
I disagree of course based on sheer volume of smerch inventory Russia possesses. The rocket is more capable than the current grade of himars.
Ukraine used to have a decent inventory before Russia took them out. I can't see rocket artillery being a game changer for anyone especially when the new inventory is soon to be taken out such as the previous rockets.
Russia has fired thousands of precision rounds. They've been out of those since March. Hanging "evidence" of a shortage based on use of some sort of other inventory is not a reliable metric, it's a baseless opinion.
How many calibr missles have they fired? I saw the media stopped counting after 5k.

I don't know how much they fired, but they have enough kalibrs. Recently the someone from Novator said they started making more than they can fire in a day.
Using Onyx is sensible choice because it is lower range, around 300km, Kalibr is 2000km
They also use P-500 from Iskander-K.
You always want to use cheapes missile if target is in range.
Off course retard crew will say they ran out of Sarmats because they are firing kalibrs, but they are retards.Как сладок свободы кнут

What? The smerch is more capable than the current grade of himars? Do you even have an idea about what you talk about? It's a chitty unguided rocket launcher system from soviet times. The chinese have developed a guided system based on the smerch with their Norinco AR-1 but that's in chinese forces and I doubt it tops the western rocket artillery.
Also if you're using anti ship missles for land targets you're either dumb or you're running out of precision missles for land targets. So if they're not running out it means they're dumb I guess.
In Kherson the occupiers have started to introduce a russian style "state police" but local partisan forces are starting to launch attacks towards the russian police. Today a car got blown up, killing one of the policemen. The other is in hospital in critical condition.

Aaaand we're back to HIMARS will end Putin any day now...
This midget brained twink thinks that US and Europe will be giving out 150k rockets like candy.
Since you exactly know what you are talking about, do you have a figure of how many rockets do you need on average to hit your target, and how many would you need to pushback an enemy on a specific plot of land size?
