All joking aside, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of the small remaining portion of us actually still posting on the misc regularly would be pretty rustled about it if/when it gets shut down eventually. Not gonna lie, it'd be a huge shift in my approach to how I use the internet, as I left all social media bullchit behind years ago. Also because there are no viable alternatives to the misc to take refuge on for online forums anymore, which is what the misc was for me when I joined it after a different forum shut down.

Honestly, I'd probably be more productive overall with less time wasted farting around online, but I won't lie, I'd miss the socializing aspect of it with miscers, as that really can't be truly replaced. I've still never met anyone IRL who has any idea what the hell "the misc" is lmao.

Misc is a refuge for freely speaking your mind, that hasn't descended to 4chan degeneracy thanks to some moderation.

The rules are pretty fair here. Zero rules descend into chaos. Too many rules hinder free speech and you become censored for unpopular/distasteful opinion.
