I have about 4-6 weeks left of this cut. I'll re-assess at the end and see what I think. So far, so good. There have been a few setbacks but progress has been consistent.
Started hovering around 184 at the beginning of March. Sitting at 175 dry in the morning.
Should be able to hit 170 or so by early June. Any other cutting brahs here making nice progress?

I agree. It took me 10 years of consistent hard work to achieve this physique that isn't even that noteworthy overall. At 180 I start losing definition and I don't think it's worth the extra effort to see if I'm able to put on a few more ounces of lean mass in my mid 30s so I'm maintaining this physique throughout the year, taking it easy, focusing on nutrient dense foods, and going through a 12 week cut in the spring because I get kind of complacent and bored and love a challenge.
If you can cut down to a level where you're satisfied and work to maintain that definition I'd say you're golden.*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*

When I cut, my whole routine changes completely. I abide by this method I learned from either Mike Mentzer or Martin Berkhan, can't remember, called reverse pyramid training where you hit your heaviest weight for the lowest reps first and go up, so something like 3 sets of 5, 6, and 8. You don't train till failure because there's no point as you don't have enough glycogen stored and depleting it leads to burnout longterm. So I'll stop one rep short of failure and focus on heavy compound lifts rather than doing high volume and exhausting myself. I've found I've been able to retain much more mass during cuts doing it this way. 3 intense, short lifting sessions a week focusing on big compound lifts. All diet to create the deficit, never weights. I hike daily with my dog.
As for strength, I don't focus on strength that much anymore, but the heaviest I've ever gone on squats was at the ass end of a cut. I remember doing 315 for 9 clean, deep reps. When I'm not cutting, I follow a typical PPL hypertrophy workout training intense till failure, staying around the 8-10 rep range.
Works well for me.
It's really interesting as I pay attention to my own perception. For example, I still find myself a bit flabby, especially lower abdomen. My wife says I'm nuts. The funny thing is, I'll look back at these images in 9 months just before I start another cut cycle and think I looked pretty good. Human perception is fascinating.
Body fat estimate I'd place myself around 12%. Thoughts?*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*

Interesting routine, as it's the exact opposite of what I feel like I inherently want to do during a cut. I'm going to try this out next time I do heavy deadlifts (Sunday or Monday). During cuts I usually over-emphasize bodyweight and weighted calsthenics. How do those fit into your training plan?
I also find the last bit of fat I lose is lower abdomen, which conceals my final 2-4 abs and it kills me.https://vocaroo.com/1g094iuP0ZIp

I've been determined for this to be the year I get ripped (stopped drinking completely again, which also means no drunken binge eating on garbage - this has been since early or mid December). I've certainly made quite a bit of progress and waist is down to around 32 inches but definitely not where I want to be aesthetics wise, and it seems like the scale kind of stalled but I haven't weighed myself for a little bit now. Hopefully I'm not plateauing hard.
I definitely thought the progress would be faster after dropping those bad habits + the fact that my diet has been pretty good and I get quite a bit of cardio.

Mirin. I just started my annual cut this week. Starting at 200# @ 6'. Gonna go for 8-10 weeks, sit at maintenance for about a month, then probably another 6-8 weeks of cutting. Thinking I will end up around 180-185 to get where I wanna be.
As for training, I just came off a 4 month strength block. Now going to an U/L 4 day split. 8-12 total work sets/day, minimal accessories, 5-10 rep range on compounds, so pretty similar to yours OP.Permabulk/bloatlord Crew

I used to incorporate more isolation work but I migrated to a home gym in my garage around 4 years ago and I train primarily out of a power rack using compound exercises. Having said that, I still do side lateral raises for shoulders, bicep curls and ez curls as well as skull crushers. I think that's it for pure isolation work. If you're doing heavy compounds like bench press and military press, it will definitely hit your triceps. I've always had large triceps, though. It's my one genetic muscle that's always responded without me ever really trying. My chest has always lagged, though. I worked extremely hard to bring it up. I used to be chubby with gyno as well. Got the surgery around 2015 I think. I made a thread about it here at the time. You'd be shocked if you saw my before pic compared to the pics I posted in the OP.
Currently on 1700 cals a day. It's pretty brutal but my body only responds to lower cals during cut as my maintenance is pretty low overall. I can bulk on 2500. I can't remember off hand what my breakdown is (it's on a paper in my kitchen). I think it's currently something like 60f, 110c, 180p*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
