Because people eat too much and exercise too little.
“Steroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn
"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Drinking calories. Soda is everywhere you look. People get frappes and other coffee drinks constantly that are just as bad. By those alone the avg person probably drinks a few hundred sugar calories more per day than even 30 yrs ago. Less jobs require physical labor as well.
Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

Yep, same over here-as I said in another thread a couple of days back my area had a few chip shops, a KFC & some Indian Restaurants when I was young & it was an occasional treat, we didn't even have a McDonald's until 1984. Then a decade later there were a lot more fast food places & the last 20 odd years you cannot walk anywhere without passing a Burger King, Subway, McDonald's, a pizza shop, takeaways, endless ready meals in the supermarkets & frothy coffee places.

This
Not this
Technically this
I see this a lot. Close friends, family, wife. Doesn't matter. I offer to help and promise they will improve and they always respond with I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. Same people look at me and ask why I starve myself (I do intermittent fasting). Those who understand what fasting is give me the, "If I don't eat something when I'm hungry I get miserable, headaches, blah blah." Doesn't matter. There's always some excuse.
Anyone blaming the food is wrong. Simple. It's an issue with the mindset (psychological regression really) of the current population thinking no matter what they do other people will accept it and anyone that doesn't is wrong and should be punished and silenced. We've lost the personal accountability, bullying, self-respect, etc that kept people in line. Sorry folks, but those dystopian movies like Wall-E, Demolition Man, and Blade Runner are true. Someone actually has time travel and has been warning us (or an alien race does and has been warning us).

I mean McDonald’s in the 60s was a completely different beast then compared to say the 90s.
Processed food has only been mainstream for like 50-60 years and it didn’t get up to full speed for a bit. Refined sugar Was an expensive item until around 100 years ago when processing made it cheap.
Priority for processed food was profit>taste>time saving>nutrition
Is it any wonder the most important aspect of food being prioritized last led to poor health when populations adopt those eating habits?
