That's quite an objective statement compared to "I don't like the look". Maybe, the openings are neccessary for the bells to reach 80 lbs. Would you rather have 50 lb dumbbells that don't have those openings?
While looking for the Corefitness ones I came across NordicTrack iSelect Dumbbells that you can change the weight with your voice. https://www.nordictrack.com/strength...lled-dumbbells

I think the last thing I want is Alexa controlling my workout. Imagine if Alexa thought you shouldn't lift heavier one day and refused to increase the weight. lol
I also didn't like how she kept saying increase/decrease weight by X amount. I have a hard enough time remembering I don't need to remember what I used last time. Unless that little screen shows the current weight.
But it would be nice if they went higher than 50lbs either way.

I only use them for swings, but seriously, my friend, you're missing out on one of the all time greatest exercises that ever was. I was gonna post an image of the muscles used in heavy hard style explosive swings, but it's almost every muscle in the body.

Did you get the 5/8" Hardware or 1" ???
I have a decent Dewalt Mechanics set and it doesn't have sockets big enough for the Bolts/Nuts for the 1" hardware but it was fine for the 5/8"
So you will either have to buy the Rogue wrenches or hope you have an adjustable wrench big enough. I did not so I had to go to the hardware store and buy one. I used that and a set of channel locks but it was a pain in the ass.
Before I moved it from the garage to the basement I bought the pair of Rogue wenches and it made setting it up again a LOT easier.
Keep in mind the width of the head on the bolts and the nuts are not 1". The shaft of the bolt is 1" in diameter. So I think you need a wrench or socket that goes to 1.5" or so. I forget the exact size.Insta: flexjs

I used to use a bluetooth speaker in my home gym, but I got sick of always having to charge it. Luckily, my son donated his sound bar to the gym, since he lifts down there just as often now. It is nothing special (Vizio with a sub), but I like that it is powered via normal plug in (no charging). My TV audio runs through it as well in case I feel like watching a movie.

I have it on a shelf with a Samsung tablet and a USB wall charger. I keep the tablet plugged in and charging all the time. Once a week I switch the cable from the tablet to the speaker and charge it up and it goes all week. I guess last week I forgot and it died today mid-workout; no biggie I just swapped the USB cable from the charger to speaker and I was good to go again.
I have lots of spare chargers I could just plug another one in an never had to worry about it again. In fact I think I will do exactly that; just leave both devices plugged in all the time.
In a 10' x 14' room with a 90" ceiling I don't need a full stereo in there.
I have a spare LCD TV in a closet somewhere but I don't think I'll ever put it in the gym. No need.Insta: flexjs
