The delusion of Hamilton fanboys almost ruined F1, thank god Max won the championship.
They're like those cancel culture liberals, want to gang up on anyone that doesn't side with their god Lewis and try to get them ruined.
Lewis has been outperformed by both team mates during his time at Mercedes, FIA has been in Mercedes pocket for years giving them favourable calls and people still try and say he's the GOAT lmao.

I think he’s saying in general.
There have certainly been times when Bottas has been faster than Lewis. Period.
Even many times when they made Bottas give Lewis track position Bottas has had some times where his lap times were faster.
Hamilton is a good driver in a fantastic car. Nothing more. There’s absolutely nothing amazing or GOAT status about him. Any of the top drivers could have done what Lewis did in his seat.

Sure he hasn't outperformed Bottas and Rosberg every time, but consistently enough to beat them every year except one where he had a lot of bad luck with engine failures.
As to the bolded. "Nothing amazing" is obviously an overstatement but I'm sure you can see that. Not GOAT status, well besides Senna and Schumacher and maybe Prost who else are really up there with him? It doesn't matter what other drivers could have done, because they haven't done it and he has. I don't like him as a personality and I can see he has had a super dominant car. But I don't think it's fair to downplay everything he's done because of that. You could argue Schumacher had the dominant car and a clear number two driver in the team who followed team orders as well.

If that's how you see it, that's fine - but I don't. Having the best car on the track doesn't equate to you being the best driver. That's just not how it works.
That's like me as a nobody in a 2022 Corvette beating the best racer in the world in a Honda Civic at a drag race. It doesn't prove in the slightest that I'm an amazing driver.
When you see the guys making those rare podiums in mid field cars - those are the amazing drivers.

Ho. Lee. Chit.
Qualifying today was just awesome. New cars and budget cap have seriously shaken things up. There’s cars in the top 10 that would NEVER have been there last season.
And best of all - Mercedes is genuinely in trouble. They’re not going to be chasing podiums with that car in its current state. I can’t express how nice it is for them to see how it is to struggle for the first time in 8 years.
Haas and Alfa Romeo are the stars for me right now.
Bottas in P6 and Magnussen in P7? It’s madness. The race tomorrow should be incredibly entertaining and unpredictable.
Red Bull and Ferrari both have the pace for it to be anyones race, but outside of that who the hell knows.

I'm hyped for the Ferrari vs Max. Leclerc and Max have history so this is a rivalry i'm sure most are waiting for. And Sainz is so hungry for a win that I can see him being a Rosberg to Leclerc.
This is the race that showed how hungry Sainz is

And this is the series that showed how Leclerc is willing to dish back whatever treatment he gets:
Verstappen leaves no room for Leclerc. A little textbook aggressive defensive maneuver
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABKY6nbKIL4
During the interview post-race Leclerc pretty much says, I had no idea you could do that. That's good to know. Then in the next race, does the same exact thing back to Verstappen.
Skip to 5:20 here. He races exactly the same way as Verstappen in the race before.

I'm hoping we see some racing like this

I was so happy for Bottas after quali and also can't wait to see Verstappen dive into the inside on lap 1, turn 1 causing a crash. It'll also be interesting to see how Ham will cope with being a midfield car tomorrow and see if he's really able to race through the grid.

I can’t even describe how disappointed I am with Red Bull.
Both cars **** the bed at the end of the race when they’re both set to score great points.
Unbelievable….
Happy to see Magnussen in P5 though. A lot of Haas haters are eating **** right about now.
Then there’s Mercedes…lost their pace but of course - not their luck. Undeservingly get P3 and P4…

Mercedes sliding into your DMs like How the **** that happen? They're whole Formula 1 career is basically just a ****ing movie script writing itself
Extremely excited for the future Leclerc vs Verstappen races we're going to have in the future. The battle today was just a pregame to the drama we're about to get

- Problems with RB Powertrains, 3 engines fry in the first race doesn't bode well for higher temps circuits in warmer weather.
- Super happy to see KMag fighting at the pointy end of the midfield. He has something to prove and hopefully will only get better from here.
- Hoping Alpine can improve a bit and give Nando a slightly better car. He can do great with mediocre cars.
- No surprise at Bottas, once a Saturday driver always a Saturday driver lol.
- inb4 "Get in there Lewis masterclass what a drive wow you're a god best of the best oh Lewis all the thangs you did blah blah.."
- McLaren talked big last season and now back to earth...but it takes times for the season to shake out.
Good race overall, I was expecting something more boring. Very nice to see different drivers pushing for podiums until the failures instead of Mercedes right and left for 7 years.

Checo is a massively under rated driver. He's an absolute beast with tire conservation, beast at defending, and he can overtake very well too. He's an extremely well rounded driver that doesn't get talked about much next to Max. Would have loved to shave seen him on the podium in the first race.
But I think he and Max both will see their share of podiums this season. It's looking like a Red Bull Ferrari fight this season until/unless Mercedes gets their chit together. If this first race is any indicator, the fight between those two is going to be close all season long.
Oh, and I would absolutely, positively LOVE to see Haas and/or Alfa Romeo in the top 5 of the constructors. Neither if which seems to be completely out of the question judging from race 1. (Well, maybe Alfa will need to find a little more pace, but hey - it's early in the season.) I mean, their rookie driver managed to find himself in the points on his debut race, which is pretty massive for a rookie in a fking ALFA ROMEO. He was crying after the race he was so excited and happy. Love to see it.
My number one is Red Bull, but I'll be happy for anyone to win the whole thing, as long as it isn't Mercedes or Crymilton.
