this is a guy aew cannot pass up. he's gotta be one of the top 10 workers in the usa even if he is 41. dude still looks amazing and his mic skills were never that bad. i think he'd get over huge with the aew fans. perfect guy to "replace" cody. he'll deliver better matches, won't rustle people with bullchit politics and only looking to get himself over and will cost less.
they need more locker room leaders like cesaro.
he could come in and immediately be a world title threat.
no 90 day no compete. they could put him in the ladder match at the ppv. he'd make an amazing tnt champion and would have incredible matches weekly.
seems like a no brainer here.

Him being buried for 10+ years straight and in his 40s doesn't bode well. Could they sign him? Sure, I guess. With their bloated roster it's not like they need anyone. Not to replace Cody, that happened already with Punk and DB.

hear me out
besides danielson, how many in visibly good shape ring generals do they have on the roster? pac and......? and pac is away 1/2 the month.
cesaro is a timeless talent. he's a guy who could fit in during any era.
wouldn't you be more interested in the revolution main event if it was cesaro vs hangman? cesaro is never gonna play house with the young bucks or do any of this stupid cartoon chit. he'll legitimize whatever opponent he gets in the ring with and will be able to have classics with all of the top guys on the aew roster.
imo cesaro would bring something very unique to the roster. they could give him that kurt angle wwecw wrestling machine gimmick. would be perfect for him.heart also wants what the dick wants

i disagree. he had a lot of moments to showcase his talents over the years. was on TV regularly for over a decade. i don't really know what more one could ask, i don't think he was ever top dog material honestly. he was a great workhorse and had moments, and there's nothing wrong with a run like that over a decade

He is a brillant talent and I hope he gets a couple of successful years before retiring. While AEW is the bigger gig, I could see him shine even more in Japan or be a free agent going around multiple smaller promotions for some time, especially with how overloaded AEW is with bigger stars currently.

not sure what you're gripe is with Caesaro, but he has tremendous ability, strength, and had no problem playing his part. much better than anyone else currently being plastered (aside from Brock lesnar obviously. Brock Lesnar is the greatest wrestler in history and you can take that to the end of the WWE. nobody comes close. I obviously do not mean Caesaro is any way better than Brock in any way. yes very very srs not even slightly sarcastic. I'm being DEAD serious. I am willing to take a lie detector test for any of my views on Brock Lesnar.) so like I said, he deserves to be put in better positions.

um, i have no gripe. he had a nice run for 10-11 years and he was given several chances to shine. some of them worked out and some of them didn't. you claiming he "deserved better" was not correct in my opinion.
most guys in wrestling would kill for a run like that. not everybody's randy orton, roman reigns etc

I think his problem, like a few others before him, was that he got over when he wasn't supposed to get over and got punished for it. Without the innate charisma of a Daniel Bryan, he just wasn't able to overcome it. Almost all guys couldn't.
When it was time to organically move him up and put him more in the mix of higher level talent, which I'm not arguing he isn't, but rather than do that WWE made sure to beat him into powder and make sure he couldn't get over for embarrassing them or whatever fuked up backwards thinking goes through Vince McMahon's mind when this kind of thing happens. Cardona, him, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Ziggler, etc... they bury them when it's time to move them up. Now they don't have more than 2-3 legitimate stars, go figure.
On his value, earlier I dismissed it and I think it was misinterpreted as me dismissing his talent/work. Not at all. He's just been repeatedly presented as a lower guy. Were he younger, no problem, he could leave like Cody, reinvent himself and start over. Hard to do at 41 or however old he is, though. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

WWE does a good job of ruining their mid-carders to the point where they are no big deal when they leave. I think Daniel Bryan was the only guy to leave WWE for AEW and it seemed like a big get.
I like Cesaro. I think he's extremely talented, but from a kayfabe point of view, he's a past his prime guy that never quite made the main event-er scene. He's not going to get people not already watching AEW excited about AEW.^^^()()GERMANIC CREW()()^^^

I think Cesaro is a great talent. Somehow he didn’t get the big one. Every other championship imaginable, but not the big one. If AEW does pick him up I think it will be good, he can help put the pep in the step of some of those guys to get better.

With Tony Khan buying ROH, that might be the perfect spot for Cesaro. He has a lot of history there and could be the old veteran and occasional main eventer there used to build up future top stars. If it really becomes AEW's NXT, his lower spot in WWE might not hold him back as much.
Be a big fish in a smaller pond and allowed to utilize his greatest strengths.
Seems like an idea, that wouldn't work. Cesaro's greatest strength is his inring work, paired with physical charisma. His weak point is promos and character work. Putting him in a position, where he needs to fuction as a mouth piece for others, could really expose him.
