Yes, but you have to have some mobility-JYD had good psychology as well-but was dire after he left Watts in 1984 & not that great for 18 month or so before he left. Jake was able to convince the fans & other wrestlers he was some all-time great ring technician simply due to how good his psychology was & his movement.

Clearly there is a big difference between the in-ring abilities of Jake & say Bockwinkel-both were great promos, had great psychology etc. But Jake was an average worker who made everything look good with his timing & so appeared better than he was-same thing with Hogan, while Bockwinkel could carry a broom to a good match & same thing with Flair.

I am going with JYD as better. One of my favorite matches was HH & JYD vs Iron Shiek & Nikolai Volkoff in 1985 at the Checker Dome in St. Louis, I won free Blues tickets in a raffle. So a good night it was.
