I need to sleep - after workout?

Does anyone know why, after a good workout, 2 - 3 hours later I get very, very tired? Not tired from workout fatigue; but like I just need to go to sleep! I can't keep my eyes open, and I start work at 3pm in that condition. The extreme tiredness can last for hours, it has even lasted all day. Very discouraging!

    Thank you

What's your caffeine intake like? And, the obvious question would be - are you getting enough sleep?

I have 1 coffee in the morning, that is all. I fall asleep fast, I sleep through the night, and I wake up on my own with out an alarm; and when I do wake up, I don't lay there, I am up right away. The quality of sleep, I am not sure, I know I do enter REM sleep, cause I dream.

Uh, that's totally normal. Your body wants to heal. It heals best when you sleep. The end

I have to sleep after working out too, just not right away, most days about 16 hours later
