My favorite reviewer looks like he loved it. Listening now. EDIT: holy chit 60 hours in and he's halfway thru the main bosses. Estimates a full playthrough at 90-100+ hours.

I'll refer back to my earlier Elden Ring thread, the game Informer guy said BB is his favorite game of all time and if the 10+ hours he got to play of Elden Ring was an indicator of the overall game's quality that it would HANDILY dethroned BB as his favorite game of all time

I've only seen PS4 stuff from the network test. It runs smooth and the main difference is detail in the grass and stuff like that.

It does seem to be more accessible. You can deal with challenges in a variety of ways, or leave and go do something else. You won’t necessarily be roadblocked by one boss.

SkillUps review he said he's one shotting a lot of bosses since he took the time to gear like crazy and has explored and gotten lots of treasure/items. So you can over level content if you want it seems like. Completionists are going to have an easier time since they find/equip all the best stuff.

Don't be a pussy, keep the grind and you'll get strong enough where you don't need to be super skilled. As others mentioned, you don't get blocked by a boss in ER so you can leave and go level up elsewhere and return later. Makes it considerably easier than other souls games.

There’s a small update for it already for anyone who didn’t know already. I checked this morning because I want to have it ready to start as soon as it’s released so I downloaded it. Believe it was just a little over 1G so not large.

Dark Souls 3 wasn't too bad in terms of boss fights, but there seem to be a lot more cheap kills and situations where it's ridiculously hard to get past regular monsters. Bloodborne didn't have that.

Demons Souls is harder than any souls game I've played, just absolutely crippling difficulty. If this is on Demons Souls level.. not sure I'll want to play it

Don't be such a defeatist lol. As long as you have thumbs and aren't impatient you'll be fine. Worst case you have to level up more than most people. These games aren't hard in that they require God like reaction time. If overleveling doesn't solve the issue and you still need help you can summon one of us. I think just in this thread we have at least one person on every platform.

I'm not a hardcore gamer either. In fact the only games I've played other than Fromsoft games in the past 10 years are Nioh 2 (kicked my ass so hard I gave up on like the 5th boss) and the Destiny games. Fromsoft games are easier than Nioh 2 and much easier than things like Destiny raids

Demon's Souls had by far the easiest boss fights but the hardest levels. Also if you start with the Royal class you'll breeze through the game. Magic is OP from the start of the game in Demon's
