For those of you who do crunches, how many do you do in a day?

I used to do sit ups with weights on my chest, but found out it was more effective to hold weights above head while doing sit ups. This is difficult with my 20lb dumbells or 22lb dumbbells, so i just did 60 situps with weights on my chest then 3 sets of 50 crunches without added weights. 50 crunches were actually harder probably because the reps are faster and i get less breaks. I plan to do more crunches while lowering bodyfat, but i was wondering how many crunches i should aim.

I also do other exercises. I do 2 sets of 12 dips with 84lbs added weights. I work upper back, chest, shoulders with 20lb dumbbells (13 total sets of 8, 12, 50 reps), do 3 sets of 8 decline diamond push ups with my feet on my bed, do 5 minutes of cardio jumping. All these take about 40 minutes every morning. I am removing weighted sit ups and adding crunches to it. I am not one of “do your best” type but “slack off beyond this point” type, so i am wondering how many crunches other guys do.

I was just taught when I was really young to do sets of 30, like before I took exercising seriously or anything it was one of the first things. It's just kind of all I ever did for crunches and worked great as far as past times go.

I do 200 a day. That is my “ab” routine.

If I wanted them to grow larger, I would just eat more food.
