I usually do conventional deadlifts. I glide the barbell against the legs at all times. But with sumo, when my hands get to my legs, the barbell bumps forward, due to my thumb or thumbs hitting my legs. This causes instability and is annoying me. I used to use a thumbless grip to avoid this, but on heavier weights, this is not possible. How do other people manage this? I have not seen this addressed anywhere.
