Was watching history videos on domestication of animals and on farming. basically all of a sudden at the same time there was the first farming and first domestic animals like chickens, dogs, goats.


Why was it all at the same time?

Did aliens teach people how to farm? or is it proof of simulation theory and the code dropped?


there were homo sapiens going back like 200,000 to 300,000 years ago, so what were they doing for the other 200,000 years before farming, just living in caves despite being modern humans?

It wasn't sudden. It was a long process of domestication, chickens, cows, sheep all lived in nature before they were domesticated, but they weren't good enough for what we wanted to use them for, so humans did something called selective breeding, they knew about evolution before Darwin.

lack of time and good tools. tools build better tools. everything is multiplicative. if it takes you the entire day gathering food and supplies just to survive to next day you are not going to have too much time for innovation / new technology. If you have a chitty tool that frees up 5% of your time, you have that time to come up with a tool that frees up 10% of your time, etc. Interdisciplinary inventions benefit all other crafts as well. More free time = ability to specialize. Once you specialize tools really take off, so growth is exponential.

New evidence suggests farming started atleast 23,000 years ago. My guess on what happened 12k thousand years is the Younger Dryas Event, which also happened about 12,000 years ago. There is evidence that sea levels rose around 400ft instantly from a geologic stand point. This was a time of crisis climate change and chaos. Much prior evidence of farming was likely destroyed during this period for sure any in coastal regions. And it wasn't until we emerged from this era that we were really able to establish farming again

Very interesting subject.

The exponential growth of humanity from an extremely long prehistoric age as cavemen/stone age/hunters-gathers/etc to powerfully advanced and so highly technologically advanced in such a short time is almost incredible and without question raises a lot of questions. One of the many possibilities is of course extraterrestrial assistance. Anyone who has even quickly studied the absolute immensity of the universe will see how this could be possible.

The stone age didn't end until as late as about 3300 BC so our advancement from stone age prehistoric man to our modern highly technological world happened over a very short time frame in the grand scheme.

It's hard to know exact timelines. Right now they know that farming has been around at least 12k years. Tomorrow they could find something related to farming and date it back 20k years. Never know but wouldn't be surprised if it's been around a lot longer than originally thought.
