    Smile I’ve overused pre workouts, any advise?

    Hey everyone, Being young and stupid years ago I used jack3d minimum 2 scoops a day 5 days a week.

    I heard from a body builder doing this burns out your adrenal glands. I’m sensitive to any stimulant now, caffeine etc. wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there’s a way of recovering them? Maybe a supplement to take to help with itS

    It doesn't burn out your adrenal glands... that is nonsense from a medical point of view AFAIK. But you do develop a tolerance to stimulants like caffeine. Take a couple of weeks off stims completely and you'll probably find they are effective again.

    This was around 5 years ago, tried introducing caffeine slowly but super sensitive to it. Sensitive to a lot of stimulants now. 1 can of red bull and feel very jittery and like fainting

    Yeah 2-3 scoops everyday, face tingling everyday. My body just can’t handle any caffeine or anything now.

    If they don't help you with your workout, don't use them... they are by no means essential to getting a good workout.

    I've used almost every pre-workout over the last 15 years, sometimes even mixing them.

    Back in 2007 I used to mix a scoop of N.O Explode (before BSN got sued) into 1/2 an Endorush (look it up) and go HAM for 2 hours at the gym. As I've gotten older (36 now) I've moved away from pre-workouts and once my body adjusted, it's been fine. My workouts haven't suffered, I sleep better, my blood pressure has gone down, I recover better and I don't push myself harder than I should.

    If I literally don't have the natural energy to go lift/cardio for an hour, why would I ingest something that is going to force my body beyond what it's capable of? If you're already sore/tired/drained, that's your body telling you that you shouldn't push it and if you down 300mg of caffeine along with whatever else is in there you're just going to deplete yourself even more and be worse off tomorrow.

    not sure if you realize this, but the point of working out is to push yourself past your limitations

    I haven’t used pre-workout in forever. Personally, I wouldn’t waste my money on them.

    Just 25g of 72% cacao dark chocolate and 1-200 mg of caffeine from coffee is all I do now.

    Provided you’re over 18, sure.

    Try a middle of the road one and avoid the more exotic stims for your first couple of pre’s.
