I'm 13 and my parents don't want me to take creatine because they think it might have long-term implications. I told them there were many studies that showed no short to medium term negative side effects in teen athletes, but they still think it might be bad for your kidneys or something in 20+ years. Are there any studies or evidence to show it is safe in the longterm?
Creatine occurs naturally in many foods. Your body flushes out what it doesn't need. If you stick to the 3g a day dosing guidelines then hopefully it won't need to do much of that anyway.
Personally i would not take any supplements until you are a bit older. Workout without any supplements for now and start taking protein powder and creatine at 15.
