Lol wtf where do you live? Where do they put that much snow? I know they use giant heaters to melt it in Chicago when there’s nowhere to put it. It’s kind of funny, they won’t just push/drop it into Lake Michigan in snow form. That would be bad for the ecosystem and where our drinking water comes from. Instead they melt it in giant parking lots and let the runoff go into Lake Michigan along with whatever oils and residuals it picks up along the way. City of big shoulders, and evidently small brains.

Yep barrel burner for sure. 17 Remington is pretty neat too, never an exit wound. My dad built a wildcat called a 17 predator which is a .223 necked down to .17 and can be used in an AR for fast follow ups.

Wow that’s sounds crazy. They do the melting when there’s nowhere else to put it, but still seems like it’s more of a crony scam than a viable solution. While the burbs are built-out and they’d have to truck it far to find fields, we do have a lot of Forrest preserve land they could use but they don’t.

I'm a DM and one of my stores is in Belfast; never heard of it though. This is very odd as Belfast is a small, quiet area; that whole surrounding area is as well. Very surprised a place like this exists in Belfast. Ima check it out though!!

Most places that get a lot of snow have snow dumps, they just blow it into dump trucks and cart it off. not a good idea to dump it into lakes because of the salt unless you are in an area where they don't use salt because it's too cold for the salt to work. I have been lived a few places like that.

We had about 6" on the ground this morning and its still coming down hard but I don't think we will see a foot. I was a glad to have 4WD day on the way to work though. It must have come down fast, streets were not cleared at all.

I think they must predict local weather…so you get extra winter and I soon come spring.

Just met an interesting guy. 86 years old out shoveling snow. He lives 4 houses away from me. I got home and fired up the snowblower because we just kind of take turns keeping the main neighborhood sidewalks cleared. Made my way down there intending to just do the sidewalks but ended up doing his driveway and sidewalks from his house to garage etc. Not sure what his secret is because when I asked he said “I don’t know, but without the help this shoveling might have been the end of the line” lol.
